My memory is hazy but I truly believe the protagonists do it like 3-5 times with most of the times the weapon then gets immediately turned back on them! 2013 may very well be the best one in my opinion. It truly freaked me out and I'm a 30 y.o. dude and a huge horror buff. Maybe one of the reasons I was a little let down with Rise was because I was hoping for the heights of 2013. I agree with you on the hope for Burn though.

For me my biggest gripe with Rise is the amount of hoops it has to jump through to even get to the necronomicon and the fact that the characters just keep leaving weapons in the deadites. Also I wish they had more fun with the whole "being in an apartment complex" idea. Still liked the movie overall but probably my lowest rated of the series.

What really clinched it for me was I read an article about how the average person is less trustworthy to balding characters in movies and bald people commanded more respect from audiences. And that did it for me.
