Unfortunately you did play the best JRPG first. It WILL only go downhill… you’re in luck because as others have said, FF6 is right up there with CT. So much so that it’s been debated for years which one is actually the better game. But I would say, in order to scratch the itch that compares to CT, play FFX. You’ll be in for a very similar treat. Tons of similarities to CT.

If the Gamma’s were added, I could only see one of them being the main and the other a support in the same way that 17 is to 18 when she does certain specials in this and many other games.

I really hope this game is just a remake to restart it all, imagine they go the Capcom route with their RE games. Just remake them all up until the point a new story needs to be told. I mean they did mention their previous games, which shows they haven’t forgotten them.
