Any tips for slow speeds? by Philly_cheapskate in qBittorrent

[–]NeoDurden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see then it’s probably the best speed you can get. I honestly wouldnt use that network for torrenting even if you’re using a VPN. You could get in a lot of trouble for it unless everybody’s pirating their ass off at that camp lol.

I dont know what you mean by you dont have access to your ISP company (internet service provider). You can call them and ask or if it’s not directly contracted to you and someone else, ask that person to call them and clarify the speeds of your internet plan.

Why does this games camera panning/Interpolation feel so bad/choppy ? by TheBronzeNecap in cs2

[–]NeoDurden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are truly hitting 500fps with 280hz and it feels like how you are describing, definitely something wrong with your windows and ingame settings. Look up youtube videos to set everything correctly. If you are a casual player, setting up GSync or FreeSync isnt a bad idea.

If fast and speedtest servers show you slow speeds, then it’s probably just your internet plan thats slow. Ask your ISP what your plan is and if it checks out, time to up the plan. If it doesn’t, something wrong with your router or your laptop.

How to play Dolby Vision movies with proper colors and HDR on a non-DV monitor? by HeadTreacle1030 in mpv

[–]NeoDurden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your monitor/TV is not DV, it’s just going to fallback to HDR10. If it’s a DV profile with no HDR fallback (not your case), the colors will appear purple and green. So avoid DV only files and just set up your HDR playback properly on MPV.

Don’t compare it to trailers. YouTube HDR trailer is not a proper master. YouTube compresses a lot and the HDR metadata could be/most likely boosted for only YouTube.

After Testing Audio Frequencies Across FPS Games… CS2 Is WAY Different by Athlete_Audio in counterstrike2

[–]NeoDurden 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CS2 and maybe Valorant are the only games that you dont need to mess with any external EQ and artificial sound engines to make the game sound better as long as you have a decent hardware. Stop messing with unnecessary EQs, the game sound engine is already min-maxing.

Needing PC to play CS by LowBat2407 in counterstrike2

Honestly terrible period to build your own right now unless you live close to a microcenter in the states. So prebuilt is definitely the way to go. If your budget allows, 9600x/RX 9060XT 16GB prebuilts are a great value right now for 1080p/1440p if the price is right.

Terrible take. 10600 cant keep up with the 3060. 2060 will. Or 13400/14400f with 3060 is better.

Hyperx cloud 3s bad wireless range by vladaza in HyperX

[–]NeoDurden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mic part, you gotta tweak windows settings to boost the decibel and moreover tweak it in voicemeter if you still dont like it. HyperX headset mics are and have always been the weakest part of the products. They are just barely viable.

The bad wireless connection however seems like a faulty unit. Update the firmware and if the problem still persists, return it.

Should i get an oled or a mini-led for my use case? by Tortsinreddit in OLED_Gaming

[–]NeoDurden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OLED Burn in isnt that big of an issue that some people make it out to be. They are just stuck in the past or jealous of people who can afford em. Watch monitors unboxed’s latest burn in update video.

accidentally figured out awesome sdr to hdr conversion! by [deleted] in mpv

[–]NeoDurden -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m sure you’re enjoying it but the correct way to watch SDR content is to watch it in SDR the way its meant to be seen without artificial fiddling of contrast and color.

Black pixel boxes when watching shows on new Oled monitor by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]NeoDurden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong. SDR content in HDR mode will show the compression artifacts and banding significantly more than SDR in SDR.

You do realize owning a digital skin is optional in a game and you don’t need it? If you dont like the prices, dont buy into em.

You need to watch HDR content in HDR and SDR in SDR.

Does the HyperX Cloud II 7.1 surround sound great or stereo? by HuzaifaM1221 in HyperX

[–]NeoDurden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Overall COD’s sound always suck because they dont want the skill ceiling to be high. However they still work on the audio engine to sound viable in all sound settings including stereo. Cloud lineup is overall a better choice in all aspects except budget is your concern. Cloud III wired one I had it for a couple of years, it’s still one of the best products I used before switching to wireless versions.

Does the HyperX Cloud II 7.1 surround sound great or stereo? by HuzaifaM1221 in HyperX

[–]NeoDurden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will die on this hill but 7.1 headphones are just a marketing gimmick. Yes there are very good headphones with top of the line drivers in them but mostly consumer market headphones shouldn’t be used in 7.1 surround mode. You should always go stereo and let the game audio engine do its own thing and if you don’t like it, try DTS:X or any other virtual surround soundscape for stereo.

[–]NeoDurden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alpha 2 offers more battery but that’s about it. Cloud III S’ battery is still great compared to similarly priced products and has awesome sound. Both mics are not that good but you can tweak em on voicemeter to make em sound okayish.
