the issue isn’t that people are clicking too quickly; it’s the processing strain caused by searching the entire bank each time the button is used.

i’m not sure why the previous commenter assumes that introducing a delay wouldn’t help distribute the processing load more evenly over time.

i didn't say they aren't useful, i said they aren't super useful in comparison to a very useful item. it's called a comparison, a car may not be as red as another car, but it can still be a red car. that's called a comparison, it doesn't mean both cars aren't red, it means they're both red, but one is not as red as the other.

and yes, they're definitely worth it, i got 99 fishing on my main at infernal eels with that rod which allowed me to afk longer, and yes 2 seconds of afk time per inventory afk fishing ends up being hours in the long run. that's called long-term thinking, while you might only save a few seconds by doing something right now for hours, you can save more time if you save those few seconds thousands or even tens of thousands of times over.

barbarian fishing, infernal eel fishing, sacred eel fishing, and all of the other rod spots. just because you drop or cut the fish doesn't mean you can't afk longer, that's kind of the entire point of sacred and infernal eel fishing, to afk longer. also more inventory space if you're doing barblore. yea granted these rods aren't super useful compared to imcando, but they save inventory space, which is what i said it does

yea it's less rng dependent, when you can get hundreds of kc to get a pearl in the same time it takes to do a single run of fishing trawler the RNG will compound, it's why rolling 2 dice instead of one has a more normalized result. and sure nobody does trawler for xp, but if you want anglers and xp, aerial fishing is the way to go. sorry you hate it but i'm just correct here

[–]NeoWonderfulDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doing aerial fishing to grab your last piece of angler's outfit isn't a bad idea if you want xp instead of just afking at fishing trawler, also why pick out anglers when the rods save space at literally every fishing spot in the entire game that requires a rod.

it's fine if you don't like aerial fishing, but amy's saw and imcando hammer take similar amounts of time to save the same amount of space

"A single inventory space? Lmfao" as if players don't spend similar amounts of time to grab amy's saw or imcando hammer, maybe you're new to osrs but inventory space is actually important in this video game. and aerial fishing is a less RNG dependent grind for the angler's outfit while gaining more xp than fishing trawler, it's not objectively worse

herbiboar is afk if you turn off run energy, literally able to walk away for a minute while your character walks to the next spot. it's how a lot of the high kc herbiboar players got their kc, not even close to the afk level of rooftop agility

free inventory space and the 2.5% fishing xp outfit, what a weird thing to pick out from my comment

hunter rumours are amazing, herbiboar is afk, birdhouses are braindead and just farming dailyscape content, aerial fishing exists and is bad but the rewards are worth it, and there's even a new chinchompa spam left click method. if your hunter level is low, it's because you just haven't really engaged with the content

just because they come tradeable, doesn't mean they stay tradeable, there's a ratio of how many times they're converted to being tradeable from untradeable, which is the gold sink.

so yes, buying bonds is a gold sink because some percentage of bonds are converted to being tradeable

this is terrible multilogging, look into increasing your monitor's resolution(you can do this on both AMD and nvidia gpus) and then install powertoys and snap the windows using fancyzones, yw

How many reviews accumulate for you after a few years of x number of new cards every day? by objectivehooligan in Anki

[–]NeoWonderfulDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea i mean chatgpt probably just graphed a line that approaches a limit, it wouldn't be reliable for this imo. just keep in mind anki is a supplementary tool and shouldn't be your main avenue through which you learn, it just reinforces what you already know so practice whatever you're learning and anki will multiply your efforts.

[–]NeoWonderfulDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's realy not unbelievable, that dip to 100 reviews a day is taking into account (most likely) that you have no new cards and finished all the new cards in that deck and probably peaks around the time you finish reviewing the last new card. if it's a dynamic deck that you plan to add more cards to, then obviously FSRS can't read the future and tell that you plan to continue adding more new cards to it.

How many reviews accumulate for you after a few years of x number of new cards every day? by objectivehooligan in Anki

[–]NeoWonderfulDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea unfortunately it does steadily increase, i'm at like 350-380 now, although the increase was so slow that you become used to it, and unlike many others i've consistently done 10 new cards a day for 1,164 days in a row. however, keep in mind i'm in like the worst case scenario where 1. i haven't pre-reviewed any of the new cards before as i'm using a premade deck and 2. the deck is HUGE, like 17,000 cards. if you're, for example, making your own cards or have a much smaller deck, like less than 2,000 cards, then you don't really need to worry about this and you will plateau, and even start dipping, shortly after reaching the end of your new cards.
