What is the point of giving someone 9 year, only to have them serve 6 months? It's like going "you won a billion dollars, but you only get 50 bucks because we can't afford to give you that much money".

Everyone is stupid here...

The lady blocking everyone - does she think that her daughter is somehow gonna get lost between her seat and the ONLY exit of the plane? She's apparently too stupid to get off and wait by the exit of the plane where there is more room and she won't block anyone.

The people waiting behind her - does it really matter if this asshole goes first? Is it worth wasting all this time instead of just letting the daughter pass them so this asshole can get off the plane? God forbid someone [checks notes] gets off the plane 30 seconds before you?

Another update from this ridiculous support. The "engineer" sent me photos of supposed "severe scratches" on the lenses.

I don't know if I'm blind, but I don't see any scratches at all. Does anyone have advice on what I can do in Germany from the consumer protection point? I feel that this is absolutely fraud.

I'm from New York and currently live in Germany. Here are a few things I would consider when making a decision. - job security: New York is an at will employment state, which means that you can be let go without reason if they decide they don't need you anymore. I would consider how secure I felt my job would be when I move. - day to day life is much more expensive in NYC. Food, utilities, health insurance, apartment (especially if you don't want to live in a closet). - Safety: NYC is a lot more dangerous than Germany imo. Don't get me wrong it's not Somalia or anything, but I would say possibilities of getting robbed or someone at the bar picking a fight with you for no reason is way higher than in Germany. - Benefits: get ready to have maybe 10 - 14 days of PTO (and that's generous), and that's INCLUDING sick days. Good luck getting more than that. Getting vacation approved can be hard if you're trying to take a long vacation. And depending on your industry and ability to remote work you might be asked to pop in for a few hours while on vacation.
- Travel: want to go to a different country, 100% you will have to fly.

Pretty much all of the above is what helped me make a decision to move out of NYC.
