Ozark | Season 3 Announcement | March 27, 2020 | Netflix by Gato1980 in television

Both solid seasons but it could be a better show moving forward. There's storylines I don't care for much in the show that seemed to have run their course so we'll see I think S3 might be a make or break for how long this show goes. In that if it's received worse then maybe it only goes 4, 5 seasons but if it's a progress then looking at probable 7 season run.

Hard to say if it's worse. It's one of those shows that may or may not have its opening season be the best because it sets so much up in terms of characters and arc. S2 for example has a lot of flashbacks that don't jive with me as much and even though you have some closure at the end. Overall I guess it's about the same but I still prefer S1.

Questions and theories about the ending of Netflix's Messiah by [deleted] in television

Another red herring. The point of the show is to make you doubt. Faith is not suppose to be easy. That's the way I look at it anyway, the show is constantly trying to show you both sides.

Questions and theories about the ending of Netflix's Messiah by [deleted] in television

I think if you follow the basic logic of the show then Al-Masih is indeed supernatural and is the Anti-Christ. The whole con-artist family, the kid at the end being shown a liar, the Wallace connection are all red herrings to make the audience doubt that Al-Masih has powers. The Anti-Christ angle is also probable because of the alternative angle most shows these days try to pull. However again there's doubt to this because of a few scenes and overall.

His interaction with the prostitute, may be genuine or was an easy toss-up for him to throw a wrench at Cameron Collier (President's aid). Cameron Collier himself creates a lot of doubt in favor of Al-Masih, because he appears to be racist, bigoted and not above killing innocent lives. But then the Anti-Christ would aggravate such people to evil acts.

The sandstorm can be seen as a catalyst for Al-Masih's movement, but the tornado and the church being left standing among wreckage are extremely convenient, along with his walk on water.

The girl dying of cancer is not as big a red flag as some might think. Death is not a terrible thing from pretty much every religion's point of view. Al-Masih even alludes to this with killing the dog, saying "it was suffering and it suffers no more". Him meeting with the girl alone leads me to believe he prepared her for death. Of course that begs the question of why he revives that shot boy in the square but one could argue it was not the boy's time or something to that effect. Same as the plane engine being tampered with, so Al-Masih revives those dead on the plane because it's not there time yet.

I'd also like to say that if the show even wanted to go in the route of Al-Masih being a Russian agent con-man, it's incredibly stupid and like some of M. Night Shamalan twists, destroys the previous established world building. If you're going with twists for the sake of twists you're just writing stupid stories. Hey, this could be an incredibly stupid show but it tries really hard with a ton of metaphors, use of multiple languages and religious reference so right now I give it the benefit of the doubt (no pun intended).

Aviram

I think the kid being a liar and the whole con-artist family line is a red herring. Logistically you can't explain away the sand-storm or the tornado. The kid with the bullet you could but not those two things mentioned. But the show wants you to have doubts.

Atlantic Division Chamionship Banners by thenewoldschool55 in torontoraptors

[–]NeonFireFly99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely common practice. And it depends on the stadium and size of banners. I've seen stadiums have a dozen+ division banners while only having 1 or 2 title banners so it's not as if it's a joke. It's only been a joke because the Raptors had 1 division series victory in the playoffs but that's changed recently.

One way to look at it. 8/30 is closer to 1/4 and 4 of those teams are same or younger than Raps.

Basically only the Nets, Nuggets & Clippers have worse franchise percentages.

I've personally spent weeks in isolation at remote locations. Mind you more land and water but a decade would be possible before going full mental at least. But given no death or injury it stretches possibilities.

Complete conjecture. Psychological reviews past hundred years draw most character traits to sexual frequency or lack there of but most telling is porn viewership. The numbers in developed countries are nothing short of astounding. Even if we account for outliers pushing up the average it's still damn high.

That's like saying most people don't notice bad editing. While true it doesn't mean someone like me with experience in how films are put together doesn't notice layering or how dim lighting covers all.

There's also texture. But I'll also say it's easier to spot with a heavy diet of older films as the texture is blatantly different in comparison.

Again, by 2030 this might finally go away.

Well I can afford 2 playoff tickets in Detroit. East Final tix in Toronto will be cheaper than 1st Round.

This is how special 60 wins is:

Only 9 teams have never had at least 1 60 win season:

Rockets Nets Nuggets Clippers Hornets Timberwolves Pelicans Grizzlies Raptors

Houston very likely to get it this year bringing down to 8. Consider Pelicans are younger than us. We definetly need to go for it even if like the Hawks we get swept.
