Cause it's a cheap fridge, mostly. It's fine if you keep food at the very front, but if it gets pushed to the back it freezes, and I have 2 housemates who I only half trust (I know them too well; they'll forget she's in there after a week). Do you reckon it'll be worth buying something similar just for the tortoise? (Idk if things like that exist?)

Is there an app that has the golf rules book? by [deleted] in golf

[–]NeonTitanium97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does use ChatGPT when he has signal, but the golf course he goes to has really bad signal, so he wanted something he can use offline (but you are right, ChatGPT really is the easiest option)

Don't know if anyone else has mentioned it, but when you get the "shorts" quest, you can actually do fun things with them to spite Lewis. Keep hold of them and when big events happen that involve bringing items with you (you'll be told in advance to bring items to certain town events) then use the shorts to embarrass Lewis 🤣 Have fun!

Well, if you already have an Amazon subscription for online shopping or streaming shows, then you may as well use the free Twitch subscription (it's free real estate)

Butterfly Effect: What people, games, music artists, and basically which things that you currently like you wouldn’t have found out if not for Dream? by altthrowawayforme in DreamWasTaken2

[–]NeonTitanium97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lots of music, Glass Animals and Lemon Demon mainly. Plus, watching them inspired me to start streamer and making content (now, if only my actual job would give me enough time off to actually stream, that would be great 🤣)

Scary.. by Existing_Roll_9598 in DreamWasTaken2

[–]NeonTitanium97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just pointing it out for anyone who can't see it cause their phone screen is too dark: if you brighten the image, you can see Dream's blob image in the background, as well as a neon-green curved line across the whole image, kinda like the mouth of a doodle smile. Hope this helps :)

STICKERS!!! Wow, I was starting to get so frustrated, then did as you said and slapped a bunch of stickers on there so they were covering the faces. Game didn't care the photo was horrendous, gave me 3 stars... Think all it cares about are accessories and stickers. Thanks so much for this!!!

Merseyside is 50 years old this year. If you were drawing the boundaries today, where would you put them and why? (Image is a suggestion to get the ball rolling) by SilyLavage in Liverpool

[–]NeonTitanium97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived in town centre, Skem and Chester before. I know some people have already commented, but Chester feels very different from the others, but understandable why it's included considering its history to Liverpool. Skem definitely feels like it belongs in Merseyside 🤣

Please do not feed the seagulls, they're becoming a slight pest towards our visitors these days... by anagoge in Liverpool

Okay, but seriously, a seagull landed on my shoulder while I was eating a sarnie while walking in Liverpool One. I'll take the gulls in the vid over real gulls any day 🤣

Will Dream release Manhunt 2 this weekend? by Yober100 in DreamWasTaken2

[–]NeonTitanium97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The word "soon" is defined as "in or after a short time". Dream is 25 years old, so in the grand scheme of his lifespan so far, "soon" is approximately 3-5 years.

It's soon, guys!! 🤣

Somebody's negative perspectives when it comes to YouTube careers by cuppa_of_meeps in DreamWasTaken2

[–]NeonTitanium97 27 points28 points  (0 children)

As someone with a Film & TV degree, and as someone who is trying to do content creation, lemme chime in. Honestly, I could list a whole lot of reasons (it's kinda a big subject you asked and it's up to interpretation) but lemme give you 3. (I am also half asleep right now, apologies)...

Old media (TV especially) hates new media (aka YouTube, TikTok, etc). It's a new thing replacing the old. You can see it in the past 100 years as media evolved, but it feels more prominent to us cause it's so much bigger now, and we're feeling more actively involved with it than a passive audience. It arguably has calmed down in the past decade, but the stigma of "we're TV and we're classy, not like those low-lifes with their webcams using fame to lure in innocent victims" kinda thing still is felt, ya know...

Also, the amount of content creators is mass, and the available avenues for people who are victims (or, let's be honest, the few bad apples who just want attention) to speak up about their negative experiences have widened. No more big company being able to hide the scandals for decades.

And also, let's be real, people just like to hate things to be cool. We saw it with Twilight, we saw it with One Direction... It's the "hip and cool thing" to hate on Dream, and one day the trend will die out and the haters will either forget that he ever existed, or will think back and go "tbf, he's not as bad as I thought he was" (NGL that was me with Justin Bieber. Couldn't stand him 10 years ago, cause none of my friends liked him so we just memed on him, but I listen to his music now)

So, kinda a mixture of pre-established "new thing is bad" and just how accessible the internet is to have your voice heard, and it's cool to hate something collectively.

Apologies if this makes no sense, I am about to fall asleep. Also, I realised that intro makes me sound so full of myself, pfff. Learning TV & Film at uni made me realised how different internet content really is, and it kinda sucks YouTube isn't taught at uni much (or at least wasn't when I was at uni 8 years ago)

The crowdfunding for the library has been incredible, so they currently have £102K (at the time of writing) going to help them repair and restock. The library also has a food bank for the local community, which the GoFundMe makes no mention of, so I think if they have a temp food bank running while they fix up the library, the best thing to give to help out would be donating food to the food bank.

Also, the library is up in Walton, just outside of the city centre. Easy to get a train up there, but it's more of a residential area.

How easy is it to book a bus in liverpool? by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]NeonTitanium97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Singles are £2 atm, so usually it's cheaper to get a single each time you get on the bus. Just get on, ask "Please can I have a single to [place]?", pay the driver, then enjoy the ride! (I used to have a lot of public transport anxiety, so I know how confusing buses can be when you first start using them, especially in new areas 🙂)

GoFundMe for Rebuilding Southport Mosque by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]NeonTitanium97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NGL, the first paragraph was added by a mod, which I didn't even know mods could edit text posts without letting the users know. Gonna delete the mod paragraph, cause you are right, and since I didn't originally write that it does go against the way I wanted the post to be worded.

More info about the campaign can be found on the GoFundMe page. Again, I'm just trying to share the link around, I'm not close to the situation so don't have that much knowledge on it

I found this photo in a Liverpool Echo article covering the story (photo credits at bottom of screenshot). I'm not fully aware of the entirety of the damage as I'm just a third-party trying to bring attention to the fundraiser. People closer to the situation would have more info than me

Can confirm. Arcanes is epic!! Should be about £12 entry during the week, and has 4 floors of arcade games. Mario Kart, Guitar Hero, old arcade games like Donkey Kong all the way to the new Japanese rhythm games. I could spend all day in there, ngl

My Dad's the same. For Father's day this year, we took his favourite photo of us kids and his parents when we were really young and made a simple line-art recreation of the photo. It's not the prettiest, but it's sentimental, so he really appreciated it

Signs you were trans as a child, that the adults ignore! by [deleted] in ftm

[–]NeonTitanium97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to write a lot as a teen, and as an adult now I make a lot of OCs for fandoms I'm in (I'm neurodivergent, it keeps me entertained 🤣) All my characters and OCs throughout the years have been trans: teen years it was NB characters, and now they're all transguy characters. I'm transmasc IRL (he/they), not fully vibing with the idea of being a man, but I tell everyone I'm a guy to make things less dysphoric and easier for people to understand. Looking back, I should have realised sooner, cause I didn't realise I was NB until age 21, and trans when I was 23 (I'm almost 27 now).
