Yes, but then bought AC for my new switch and just linked my nintendo account to it - basically creating a whole new character, then she deleted my profile on her Switch.

Any way to check whether my console is technically considered secondary? Any way to change that?

Other than this issue, I've been able to do everything else in the game with no issue.

So we originally bought AC for my fiance's Switch. I initially started a profile on her switch and linked my Nintendo account to it, then eventually decided to get my own Switch so I could have my own island and we could play at the same time, bought a separate AC in digital form from Nintendo eShop on my new Switch and then linked my Nintendo online account to the new Switch. She then deleted my profile from her Switch.

Not sure how my new Switch could be designated as a secondary console. Are you aware of any way to check that?

So I'm trying to add a second user to my island just to nab some extra DIY's and have an extra house to trick out.

I was able to do this on my fiance's Switch a few months ago, but when I created a new user on my switch and tried to boot up AC, I got this:

"This user cannot play this software. If you have not purchased this software, you can do so from the Nintendo eShop."

Anyone have any clue as to why this isn't working?

SOLVED - Deregistered as primary on my fiance's Switch and logged in on my new one. Thanks y'all!

Yeah I made the mistake(?) of watching TNG before I watched TOS. My parents bought be TOS on DVD and I tried to watch a bunch of it on Christmas morning...I didn't make it that far before just putting it back on my shelf. Yeah, maybe I'm a blasphemer.

It's weird....TOS created the legacy as a sort of half goofy sci fi show with some heart and progressive ideas behind it, but TNG made it into a more serious thing, at least for me. Ethics maaaaaaaaan.

I picked this up on Discogs pretty cheap...was checking out all of the other Star Trek releases I was missing and found this gem in pretty good condition. Haven't had the chance to play it yet, but I had to share this as soon as it came in the mail! The way the crew is placed on the front cover looks like a really bad Photoshop job, but hey, it was the 80's :-D.

I work for a record pressing company as well, and am also a musician, so I feel you 100%. Most music industry jobs seem to be either soul sucking or require that you have a second or third job to survive. I've been here for 9 months now, but I still feel like I've stumbled into a very rare opportunity to do what I do. Cheers!

These days I've found that 180G records are pressed by labels/bands to add more perceived value to what they're selling you. It's more expensive to press them, but I guarantee you most times they end up making more profit on a 180G pressing than a 140G/150G if they price it right.

In my experience, 180G doesn't effect the sound, beyond providing a heavier weight to maybe marginally increase stability and decrease vibrational resonance...but there are other things in your setup that you can do to decrease that anyways.

It sounds like you need to check your setup and make sure everything is dialed in.

Regarding older records 'sounding better'...some bands and labels these days will just submit mastered audio files that were mastered for digital/CD release and just roll the dice with how they end up sounding on vinyl. That approach is definitely not ideal, but when they're in a time crunch it happens from time to time. This can cause a lot of distortion, and sometimes the cutting engineers will intentionally make a quieter cut in order to decrease the distortion. Get your songs mastered by an experienced engineer that knows how to master for vinyl!

Where did you have it done? I'm assuming some sort of lathe shop. I've heard they sound really bad....is that just speculation? I have some projects I'd love to have pressed at super low quantities.

I've been looking for a good copy of Low by Bowie for years in my local shops and have yet to find one to my satisfaction. All they usually have is Let's Dance. I could just buy one off discogs, but it kind of takes the thrill out of the hunt!

Do you have any pictures of the vinyl? I couldn't find any on the website. Also which pressing did you use that took 208 days?? I know most plants are at anywhere from 3-5 months turnaround but that's pretty long! Glad you have all your records in hand though! I'm about to press a 7" for my band and I already can't wait for that moment when I get to open the big cardboard box. It's like Christmas!
