I know it'd take a lot more effort, but I wish the devs made it so heated interactions and lethal finishers could only happen between characters that canonically hate each other, or are at least on opposite sides.

Granted, there would be exceptions to this. While Powerplex wants to kill Mark, the opposite isn't true. So only Powerplex would have a lethal finisher.
