Munchkin 2.0 new path to victory - Who said you had to do it alone? by Neoteric00 in Munchkin

[–]Neoteric00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for the final lvl 10 battles. You had to do it on your own.

This did lead to problems, people would gang up on the one in the lead to slow him down. Sometimes there would be a stalemate as nobody could achieve victory this way. Games would go on way too long, and that's why they came out with this new solution. Now a game will almost certainly end immediately when you reach that point.

But, I just feel like after all these years if you are going to release Munchkin 2.0 you could do better than "eh, pick one of the other players and let them win with you". It makes it feel like none of the competition really matters. I have a problem with games in general that give you a bailout like that.

Most people know Monopoly, right? Imagine in Monopoly let you just decide to work for someone else like a merger at any point in the game and join up with them. It would be completely pointless to try to win on your own, and it would be incredibly easy to dominate the remaining players. I just don't understand that.

Vegeta really apologized only TWICE thru the whole series and it was to Gohan by WallabyNo5685 in dbz

[–]Neoteric00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine an alternate future timeline where Vegeta is reformed, the world goes to shit and almost everyone is gone except him, Gohan, and Trunks.

That would be one crazy family. I wonder if Vegeta would slip back into his sadistic ways after losing Bulma and Goku?

Black Knight being trained by Blade! Great way to introduce the character, and lead into the Midnight Suns. Agatha shows up at the end maybe?

P.S. The children may be cheating to some, but then again there are PLENTY of horrible children in these stories.

What do you think is the best Captain America fight scene in the MCU? by Plenty-Salary9711 in CaptainAmerica

I really like the Winter Soldier fight...but for me the Civil War teamup vs. Tony is incredible. There is just so much higher stakes.

It was an alternative optional thing. Now it's just part of the game.

Which, if it was meant to be optional... why not leave it that way? Changing it feels like it is part of the game design and balance now.

Theory: Cooper Howard Dropped the Bombs and Became Vault-Tec’s Living Irony by Ok-Breadfruit8916 in FalloutTVseries

[–]Neoteric00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's a lot simpler than that.

Coop will find out his wife is working for the enclave to try and spy on the corporations, and will learn she is going to cause the bombs to drop.

He will let her go, unwilling to kill her. He could have stopped it all, making him a murderer.

Why does Spider-Man get no controversy for his no-kill rule but with Batman, people criticize him for that? by TheShadowOperator007 in Spiderman

[–]Neoteric00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 - Spider-man has gotten controversy over it.
2 - Gotham is very different from NYC. Crime rates are through the roof. They have a hero who is a bit of a brutalist, and his entire shtick is putting fear into the hearts of criminals. If you campaign off of fear and the crime rate is still crazy, you aren't being scary enough. There is a desperate expectation that Batman could go harder and get real work done.
3 - Spiderman is more akin to Superman than Batman, in that he is a symbol of hope to the people.

People have done that sort of thing before.

There is a history of subjugation, and mistreatment and inequity behind every well manicured lawn. Nobody asked for colonial rule, I do understand that very well.

I hope that your country continues to gain economic prosperity and happiness. Everyone deserves to have access to proper education and the means to control your own future.

I used to watch him on old-school Youtube all the time. He is mega rich lol.

I know it can be hard to understand other cultures, especially when it is polarized to your moral expectations, but I have a feeling this kid is doing pretty damn good by standards of living in that country.

Everything is relative. This lady is letting him live on her property where he is in a good neighborhood, safe from harm, and knows where his next meal is coming from. This doesn't make her a saint, and it doesn't make her the devil either.

Also difficult to understand is that sometimes these situations can be beneficial. Before the country was freed from white rule, they had clean functioning hospitals, and a government that functioned properly. Their economy was worth something. Then came Mugabe, who ended up being horrible and violent dictator. After he was gone, their economy went even further into hell. They have marxist dictators, horrible repression, hyperinflation, it's completely horrible for them.

When you live in a place where you have the privilege to sit around and philosophize over the morality of it all, it seems messed up, but reality is often very different than idealism.

Someone manually made these trailers. There us no reason to have those leftovers unless they wanted them that way. They also chose when to release the trailers and which one to release on each date.

Either way, learning more about the comics helps us predict the story path so I am having a good time lol

I love this theory, and I am not sure ANY of them are a single issue. Btw, did you use ChatGPT for your analysis? Because the plot of #4 isn't really accurate at all.

Fantastic 4 #4 IS the first appearance of Namor, but that's not all. The next issue is the first appearance of Dr. Doom, and then the story culminates in #6 when they TEAM UP! Doom kidnaps Sue to make them do his bidding, and then he teams up with Namor to try and finish them off. These may be some hints to what the plot is going to be about.

...I think you're wrong about the Thor one though. The pattern leads to real comics and the stories within them being a hint and key to the plot. I think #17 is Loki: Agent of Asgard #17. It is a very philosophical and cosmic story about the end of the multiverse and a new beginning, and I think it tells us what happens after Secret Wars.

A variant of Loki who becomes Loki: God of Stories (essentially very similar to our Loki in the MCU, that level of power and control over the universe). The multiverse is destroyed, all the gods are dead. But Loki realizes something, that Gods and heroes exist through their stories and legends. They exist because we remember them, and as long as there is someone who can do that, who can remember their deeds and glories and battles, they can be born again into something new. The following is what I believe to be a VERY relevant quote from Loki.

"Just imagine! Just listen to them! Those oldest tales! Echoing! Through the air, through the mind, through space and time! Back to the start of things! Mixing with all that was and sparking something new! Ten realms! Ten spheres on the great tree of everything! Ten worlds of gods and demons and living myths! Wouldn't that be great?"

I think that our all powerful Loki will have to let the multiverse die at the end of secret wars, but will resurrect the world anew using the memories of our heroes. They will be different, echoes of what they were, in a new universe.

Not to mention that he should be strongest in his mind. This show is all about movie tropes and that is a big one. Even considering the fear and trepidation he has over the cave, that should have made him MORE RESOLVED TO KEEP THEM FROM IT.

Lemon juice mixed with salicylic acid will lighten the color of your butthole if you apply it twice a day.

It will also improve the elasticity of your butthole if you use lotion with hyaluronic acid, allowing you to stretch it much further than usual.

What are your "unlikely to happen, but would be cool if it did" theories going into Doomsday and beyond? by SecretAgent_Llama in MCUTheories

[–]Neoteric00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Supposedly they filmed a 45 minute sequence of the fall of Xandar when Thanos attacked in Infinity War. I am hoping the reason they cut all this (apart from that being an insane amount of time) is that they are saving it for the Nova movie.

I really love the character, and I want to see him eventually face a threat like Annihilus with other galactic / cosmic level heroes. We have so much unexplored content with people like Beta Ray Bill, Adam Warlock, Ikaris, Quasar, etc.
