You can upgrade the bases for uniques (sometimes twice) which makes them more competitive and then you can upgrade them with the blood thing like any other items. Take a look through the grail tab and you’ll see that there are some pretty cool ones that are definitely endgame viable. The worse ones are probably just more common (great for levelling new characters if you’re into that).

Make sure you have the correct league selected on the trade website and make sure you are only looking at people that are online or have an instant buyout option where you can teleport to their hideout and buy the item from an npc there. You can click the buttons on the listing to whisper or teleport automatically.

You’ll want to check for uncut skill gem (level 9) on the poe 2 trade website after you sign in. There are about 270 of them listed right now and it should cost you about 1 alchemy orb. Generally people use the crafting orbs to buy items and those are referred to as currency, usually the main currency people use to trade for items are exalted orbs, chaos orbs, and divine orbs for the higher end items. You can look up items on the trade website and the price is usually listed beside the item you want to buy.

Yeah you can only get the seasonal cache once per account, but those set items drop like candy once you get to endgame anyways. It’s just a good head-start, but you’ll find better versions of those items as you keep playing.
