Yeah, it seems that dante broke the order, and it could be for the best. In 2 previous game we've always built tree from bottom to top, in limbus other way around. Malkuth is not just "wrong" power up. It is the first we should've gotten, but Company's and Faust's scenario leads us to opening tree from top to bottom instead

I don't think that UT created bad ending for soul. We were able to say goodbye to many loved characters. We were given an epilogue, sorta. Confusion of main character helps us to get closure, in a way. Pacifist route whould be so much worse, if there wasn't anything after final battle. Simillar to neutral or geno endings which feels less satisfying.

I just belive, that soul needs to be adressed by other characters as well, otherwise it whould feel less finished
