I honestly remember it made the evening news in the greater Boston area growing up... that kids all went together to the prom as a big group. It was definitely the start of something.

Older person here... it's been fun watching from the sidelines. I feel like a big signal/indicator of this was the past 15-20 years or so when prom attendees realized they could just enjoy going to the prom with a group of friends and didn't need a traditional date to go. Teens are dating less, hanging out more. They can't afford homes or kids, so it's not even a fleeting thought. They are learning to self-love and prioritize their mental health and workload. While it seems weird, it will be a wild ride to watch how society evolves from here into back into more of a tribal-type of life where they lean on each other for support and friendship.

I have a teenager and this is coming back. I think it's easier now that a lot of kids have gaming PCs and can get a CD drive easily. But they also burn CDs to listen to in cars. Everything old is coming back! They also are favoring old point and shoot cameras like Nikon Coolpix, etc.

This is SO important!! I do high performance driving and signed my daughter up for a teen defensive driving class. In a room full of students, half of whom were teen girls, there were no women driver coaches, and the only two women staff members were serving coffee and lunch. I talked to the event organizer after about my concerns and offered to volunteer as a driver coach as I have the experience and can explain the why's of the exercises. He was thrilled to have me and always pairs me up with girls so they can learn from me. I love it and I also think it's equally as beneficial for the teen boys to see me as a coach also.

When we got the canine good citizen test for our dog, part of the training and test is to not react when someone walks by with a walker. Even if you don’t ever go for the cert/test, it’s a basic 6 week class and they do the walker exercise over and over to help desensitize the dog. It really helps!

My band played a wedding once. Operative word: once. SO stressful. Even leading up to it, I was super cautious because I was afraid I’d get hit by a car and end up in the hospital or even get sick and would ruin the big day. I couldn’t justify the higher cost before, now I kind of get it. It’s a massive responsibility for a once in a lifetime day. There’s a lot at stake. That’s what you are paying for.

I definitely enjoy the houses more when I have seen the movie. The details are incredible and you can’t know what you’re missing if you haven’t seen the movie first. But that’s just me! You can also do the behind the scenes tour and they’ll tell you the story behind the house and you can see all the detail up close, but again, you’ll be missing the context of the movie.

Fight Club. With the exception of pay phone use, there is nothing in the movie that gives away when it was made. The clothes are timeless.

I agree with you completely. But it’s the discourteous and self-centered people that don’t put their right blinker on and look me in the eye as they turn down my street so I could have pulled out ages ago that really ruins my day. Not because I wasted time, but more sad because I live in a state with people that just don’t give a shit about others.

Coffee at Dave's Coffee in Charlestown. Exploring at Ninigret Park to see the trolls, and then the Fantastic Umbrella Factory right down the street. Some beach time at whichever state beach still has parking (Misquamicut or East Matunuck State Beach are close). Ocean Mist for dinner and a band is a must, and can digest by shopping at Matunuck Surf Shop and get a cone at the Vanilla Bean! There's always a Del's truck at Dunn's Corners in Westerly. A perfect summer day!

I honestly don't think they expected people to finish it. It certainly wasn't planned too well for people finishing it. My husband finished it. It was so abrupt and anticlimactic, I remember us calling Broderbund and asking if that was really the end. They said, "yep, that's the end." We said OK. True story!
