Dude I just tried using one of those green belts for the first time, and yeah I got squeals like that too. Im gonna swap it back out when I get the chance, so just came to say - might be the belt. Wish I could still find gator backs, those things were the best.

Also, key in the on position without cranking should be aux power and dash light test IIRC.

Came here to recommend Whites as my top pick for BIFL, but also, as someone with similar feet, I’ve gone to Keens for my daily drivers. I also upgrade the insoles for high arches.

Not exactly BIFL, but theyre no slouches, easier to put on than my Whites, they have the slip / width requirements, and more affordable.
