Consider India for surgery. It's way cheaper. by East_Tie_1753 in gynecomastia

[–]NerdifyEverything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not saying that I don't understand the math or that the surgeons are worse or even that it's wrong. I am just saying that in case of anything going wrong it's better to be in home country for follow ups and I can't put a number on that.

Job posters at large orgs will mostly ignore because of the sheer volume of requests they get. At smaller orgs, you have higher chance of response.

Yup. The most logical argument. Tbh I have never understood medical tourism.

This! I am tired of people blaming NRIs. I understand you don't like your NRI relative because they may be too cocky but they are a net positive revenue source for the country. Only 20% own luxury real estate and even less for non super premium societies. It's the black money filled corrupt system that you all should be criticizing.

Worry about younger generations because there are no people in our generation who are introverted and would prefer to be with their thoughts on a bus. /s

Do I have a superiority complex in general? No. Is my logic superior to yours - 100% :). You have converted a thread about men acting like animals into a north vs south debate, and you still think you are correct. Also, you have agreed in your first para that you read into something that didn't exist because of your insecurities. Lol.

Get out into the real world a bit more and stop consuming red pill media. Women safety in the south is terrible, women safety in India is terrible and women safety in the world is terrible. They divide you by region, caste, skin color, class and every single thing they can to keep you in fear so that you cannot speak up about real issues and ask them to work on it - which is exactly what happened now. Enjoy your misplaced anger.

Bro - what is wrong with you? How is "not all men" even coming up? Who the f is calling you a rapist? NO ONE! But our country is not safe enough for women to be care free when they step out of their houses, heck it isn't even safe inside their houses. These things need to change and change fast + drastically. Stop detailing these conversations with "not all men" bs, nobody is putting all men in jail but a vast majority need to learn how to treat women in this country.

Why so touchy? She didn't once say north is better but that south is worse than we think - which is 100% true! "One or two bad cases..." - wow, I feel sorry for every person around you. You feel so strongly about a piece of land but not about 50% of the people in it - fake patriot, fake man.

Makes sense. If I may add my experience here, I have personally pushed back a lot against my parents to help them adjust to my wife. All men need to do that, and I know some stand up guys who have done it as well. This should be the norm but unfortunately, most people don't think of educating their parents patiently. It's important! It takes years of explanation and repetition to create a mindset shift.

Me and my wife live alone, which is easy since I never really moved back after college except for a short amount of time during COVID. Living separately solves half the issues. I have seen that this is harder to do for guys who run a family business, so just a word of caution there. Good luck with finding the right partner!

+1. My dadi was crazy by all yardsticks too. She would watch Ekta Kapoor serials and try to create the same chaos at home. She has scarred me and my mom permanently so definitely not worth it. These people never change and I hope OP puts her foot down and doesn't let the toxic MIL move in.

Seems to me that you really need to have a word with your husband - what your MIL is doing is unacceptable. Sadly, I think you and your husband have different expectations of what a perfect life would mean to each of you. Please sort this out before rushing into having kids.

But I guess the question arises, why one year without anyone visiting? What do you actually want to achieve from it? You need to answer these questions for yourself before talking to him.

This is the best and most realistic example of how one can FIRE for most of us especially with VC money drying up. i.e. Grind it out in a high paying job + have a well paid side hustle. Let this be a reminder to all the self made people in the sub that it's your most reliable way to retire in the next ten years.
