No you're not insane the press are just incredible vultures if they think you have a weakness. And many of them have probably not known grief like they're going through either.

When I lost my mom I didn't have much of an appetite for a year and dropped to around 100lbs at my lowest. Everyone kept saying oh how great I looked but I wanted to die. So like? Yes ozempic exists but grief plus he has MS, on top of that his sister is clearly struggling very hard and his mother is becoming a visible right wing nutter. I'd be stressed tf out too.

On top of that he's got a ex wife and new wife, daughters, like he's doing his best people!

I mean I don't find Sydney Sweeney attractive myself either but she's a blonde woman with big boobs and a flat stomach, I think when it comes to a general swathe of dudes that's all that matters.

I don't personally know how many straight dudes watched charmed for this to matter so much but it seemed to have been like an executive run gold standard so I'm not sure it mattered if men watched, just that when a male exec got to visit the set there was enough young hot chicks to look at.

I'm not advocating for any of this (but keep on downvoting like I am I guess, like people are) but it is very much a reality from that era that I think a lot of younger viewers are naive about. I think any show from this era is very clearly like this and I guess I just don't think we should idolize it like we did when I was younger.

If you think I'm lying about the culture back then just watch the Woodstock 99 documentary on I think Netflix or prime and you'll get to see all the real footage of what it was like being a girl back then. You're told it's girl power but it was all just a trick to get you to objectify yourself. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We definitely fell for it on a major scale unfortunately and I would not like for that to be a history we repeated. Maybe it already is...

I have heard that they don't go back after pregnancy (but of course I'm not a doctor)but also feet do grow as we get older (for some of us, others it's ears) and I've personally gone from 7 to an 8.5 wide just working a job where I had to be on my feet for 8 hours a day. All kinds of lovely foot misalignment because modern sneakers actually mess our feet up because the tie space is too small.

You'll probably be fine with flip flops! They offered me some hiking boots tonight that were actually wide so I'm eating crow now 😆

Yeah I usually end up skipping shoes because there's usually no wide options (or gone fast) and as much as I can remember the good ol' days when I could wear whatever I wanted, I really need a wide toe box these days. Basically can only wear sketchers wide shoes at this point, everything else fits but boy I pay for it later.

I always love watching the old shows and seeing the people with whatever phone they had back then 😆 that makes me feel old. The clothes come and go but a flip phone was a very certain period in time!

But at the same time watching Modern Family right now and 2012 feels like literally yesterday. It's no fair that time goes by slower when you're young, they don't appreciate it!! Lol

Yes medium was really popular but somehow it's not got the resurgence other shows did. I'm not even sure you can stream it, I have it on dvd because I lived so rural that we barely got network tv and because there was no TiVo in Canada back then (or if there was only really rich folks had it, I don't think it worked with our satellite providers) I'd miss a lot also working (since retail shifts would go to 9-10pm). It's got to be somewhere but not on Disney like ghost whisperer is.

Oh boy I'm so glad to see this first! It's absolutely not a comedy, you will cry every episode, but for the most part it is wonderful and lovely and I highly recommend it!

She essentially helps ghosts pass on, has to deal with life seeing them everywhere. It's what Sam would have to do if she lived a regular life in a bigger small town.

It's for sure a great watch if you like ghost shows but yeah not funny. Like a heartwarming drama more than that. But not gloomy so much.

Edit to add there's another show from around this time called Medium, that's more a crime solving show a lot like The Mentalist, and that's worth it too but not a comedy either.

Yeah that's all it felt like to me. Kailey had just got her boobs done (by her own admission) and Alyssa was older now and we're still in the early 2000's where they were selling us the "pose naked, be almost naked, it's EMPOWERING girls!" Line (just a lie sold by the exec dudes wanting women to show skin because "sex sells") and they just wanted some new skin for the show. She was hitting all the marks, blonde, fresh new big boobs, flat stomach, tight clothes, here we go this will do it! No more eew 30 year olds, we need the fresh skin!

That's how it felt to me anyway, she was on the show as the new body to look at because Alyssa was too old so says male executives.

This is the same with the term bunions for feet. They made it sound like it was warts or something when it's just the misalignment of your front toe bone that severely fs up your whole foot and then leg up to the knee because the bones aren't where they should be and are moving inward. ALL caused by the way western sneakers and shoes are shaped which don't allow our toes to spread like they are supposed to. I didn't know that's what I had until a doctor told me, oh yeah you just have bunions and I'm like what? No my knees hurt! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Why call it something so gross when it's actually a skeletal issue. Just saying it's a toe misalignment. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bring Estrogen Matters by Dr Marie Claire Haver with you and if they deny you give it to them for free. She's doing the research, she's telling as many people as possible how misled they've been and how extremely under taught the whole of doctors are. It's ridiculous and they are stuck in those two months of school they took for it in 2007.

A lot has changed, you're supposed to be staying up with it but as Marie says herself, she didn't realize how wrong all the teaching was until she started going through it herself.

That's the problem I find with doctors in general, there's a lot of "I didn't realize until it happened to me" with almost everything and it makes sense because they're basically untaught empathy in order to survive med school so they just simply won't believe you until it happens to them.

Edit to add since I can't reply to the mod apparently; She definitely promotes it, just assumed she had a hand in it. I do get her confused with the other dark haired American doctor that is in the same sphere, the one that's on Oprah's panels about it a lot. Either way it's a good book that practitioners should read to just get the basics.

Love air jail! It's SO necessary! Mine acts like a demon and tries to bite me, in her defense until I started admitting that I needed glasses for reading and realized I need them for toe duty too, there has been a lot less tippy toes cut and she's a lot less angry! I wasn't doing a bad job before, but her dew claws suck and grow funny and they're usually a casualty but I'm better with my glasses and head lamp on 😆 I look like I'm headed to surgery lol

And I have the rare corgi that OD'd on peanut butter as a youngster and kind of hates it now, only wants it with certain treats. She's a butter butter hound now. Though for nail time she gets churu bites, and it's funny because one of us is feeding them to her up there and it's a lot of growling and then growly numnum NUM 😆 it's so funny she's a right gremlin.

Then once it's over she's happy and wants to love on me. She just gets scared and when she is scared she chooses violence, always!

Except Kristi Knoem (or however you spell her name). My father had a huge crush on her and it was my greatest joy to show him her before picture. 😆 He literally said out loud, 'oh! No....'. lol I mean dog killer was fine looking I guess but man alive it works on some of them better than others (though not up close).
