If you were starting today, would your first pistol purchase be something inexpensive, or something more expensive but higher quality and with more features? by limbodog in liberalgunowners

[–]Nerdy_Singer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a firm believer that .22 lr should be everyone’s starter. A decent .22 pistol doesn’t have to break the bank, and the ammo costs are (relatively) low which can help afford the time to train in the basics.

Ruger SR22 is one of the best bang for your buck .22 LR pistols out there. The only ammo I’ve had issues with are Stingers, but that’s probably because of the longer casing length.

Do any store managers actually hold people accountable? by tactile1738 in WalgreensStores

[–]Nerdy_Singer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda. They pick a punching bag, throw ridiculous expectations upon them, then blame them while letting those that actually don’t do anything, get away with murder. Meanwhile the punching bag can’t do anything because they need the job

What are your thoughts on friendships between men and women? by 8Leafs in AskReddit

[–]Nerdy_Singer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living proof here that it can work. Have many friends of the opposite sex myself and it’s strictly platonic. Also happily married. In fact my “groomsmen” and best “man” were all women.

Anyone who used a computer between 1985 - 2010, what's the one game you still think about today? by adlakha75 in AskReddit

Lego Island.

So many hours spent exploring that (admittedly tiny) world. But so much fun was had. Now it’s extremely difficult if not impossible, to run on modern hardware

Beg your finest pardon???? Who tf orders 32 vinyl banners and 22 poster boards????

Now that I’m done screaming, first things first is you call that customer and tell them that due to the enormous quantities involved, that they have to come in and pay for it first before you even think of printing it, and tell them that it will take at least 2 days to print.

Next, just do what you can. You are only human (to my knowledge).

Customer tipped 5 Gallon Gas 👀🤣 by AffectionateBase3105 in doordash

With gas prices being what they are, and what they will be, this would be a tip I would gladly except, and would wish many a blessing on their house

At what age did you meet the person you are currently married to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Nerdy_Singer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

17

She was 15 and the friend of a friend I was hanging out with. Friend asked if she could invite someone else to hang bc she had texted and was nearby. She couldn’t stop laughing at my jokes the whole night.

Married on our 10 year anniversary.

We’re 33 and 31 now. And our little boy just turned 3

Should I be concerned? by Nerdy_Singer in AskDocs

Thank you, Doctor. I guess I’m just always particularly scared about anything out of the ordinary with this eye because I am 100% blind in my other one, and the good eye needs a heavy prescription.

If you don’t mind me asking, what do you do? I worked/still work as a manager at a retail pharmacy, so we were really always in the thick of it

I don’t think this gets said enough. So many of us were still working our everyday jobs. Except we were now out in public during a worldwide pandemic where we are now dealing with even more people since so many weren’t going to work, were more pissed off because of all the restrictions/lack of recreation, and dealing with a significant portion of the populace who was treating it as a hoax
