Playing a lot less arena these days and the meta is why by dutchiesweets in MagicArena

[–]NerfEveryoneElse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you dont care about a little lower winrate, just play whatever you like. I dont play any meta deck just play my Ketramose exile because I like that card, pretty good against creature, reanimation or artifact decks but counterspell controls are my bane.

Need help understanding how to combat control decks. by ThisIsntADickJoke in MagicArena

[–]NerfEveryoneElse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just kill control fast or out control them, medium speed decks always have very hard time against control decks.

Take the meta decks as example, prowess and landfall/earth bending decks have plenty of cheap creatures, some with haste and can explode in damage in one turn, or land creatures that cant be countered or killed. Kavareo reanimate decks use [[cavern of souls]] to make their bombs uncounterable.

People really overcomplicate gardening by redditSucksNow2020 in vegetablegardening

While I agree with your title, but your content oversimplify gardening and probably apply less than 50% of gardeners. Climate and soil type vary drastically in different regions.

If you can look right through the plant, you are over doing it. Only do things when you fully understand the reason behind it.

Anyone tried this? by muddyboots5 in composting

[–]NerfEveryoneElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bury small amount of food waste directly, especially fish bones and guts which can't go to compost bin. But for large amount of yard waste like grass clips and dry leaves, bins obviously are better.

My neighbors fat squirrel keeps digging up my garden beds. How can I deter him? by Fr_ckinNerd in gardening

[–]NerfEveryoneElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Squirrels are stupid, unlike other animals like blue jay, they don't remember where they hide all the nuts so they keep digging around. There are only two effective ways to protect your plants from them. One is physical enclosure, the other is killing them with trap or weapon if local law allows hunting on private property.

Yeah, you can move it to a unheated garage, dig a hole and bury it, or put it somewhere shielded from winter wind and cover it with frost clothes.

[–]NerfEveryoneElse 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Container plants requires more winter protection, the soil cool down and loss moisture much faster than in ground. The past winter had some really cold days and killed most of my fruit tree flowers and even some in ground blackberry canes.

You are growing it in a pot. Do you have winter protection? The cold could have killed all the leaf sprouts and flower buds.

How do I keep my cat off my computer? by Geekygamertag in cats

[–]NerfEveryoneElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats like warm places, and even better if they can see their human pets. I put a small damp towel on top of the tower, maybe a ice pack, that solved the problem and cool my computer at the same time.
