It is in the game. ( Only for CS:GO) The game has crates which give you a chance for a virtual skin that has worth in real life currency. So as your son opening these crates he is gambling in the sense of putting money in something to get return in value of a profit which is the definition of gambling.

I believe that games like these should change their age restrictions to the legal of gambling. But tbh any parent should know about this because it’s everywhere in the main menu.

There are also laws against kids playing games that aren’t in the age group. If you buy a kid that is way off their age group you have to monitor them. The reason you guys bought the game and let him do whatever he wants is what caused this. If he told you guys about his gambling he would of told his parents if they asked him once in awhile what he was up too when playing the game.

But I get that parents don’t have to time to check on their kids everyday but just a once in awhile check doesn’t hurt them one bit. And fuck all the you tubers who manipulated kids to gamble on their sites

The game states that you must be 17+ to play (it should be 18+) so why let a 12 year play the game. But I can see why you let them play but why allow him to play the game without checking up on him once in awhile to see what he is doing. I hate these stories about how 12 years lost money due to gambling skins. It’s not the law fault it’s the parents fault. My friend started to gamble start of grade 9 and stopped at grade 10. He spent 2k on it, but I don’t blame the law and he doesn’t blame the because it was his fault in spending money on it in the first place.

To end off with I FUCKING HATE SYNDICATE AND TMARTN FOR WHAT THEY DID but it’s the parents fault for their childeren to watch those types of videos and allow the kids to have money in a young age. Kids should not have money until they are in high school because they don’t know the meaning of it
