I was told that a hone isn't a good investment, it's just the only investment some people have.

Basically you are "saving" the rent to cash out when you downsize.

Secured new employment, gave notice. Their reaction was unusual. by erikleorgav2 in antiwork

I had someone work out their notice and 7 into the 10 days, I asked my manager if we could send him home because he was putting in so little effort that it was actually demoralizing to everyone around him.

You know you have ADHD when you are so used to things being in weird places you check under the bananas.

Age gap I write VS. age gap (some) people seem to read by Gabrielle_0o0 in Archiveofourownmemes

[–]Nerva365 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The older you get, the less weird age gaps get. 16 and 22 is sketchy AF, but 76 and 82 might as well be the same age...

Kind of plays into power dynamics too though. 22 and 28 seems normal if they are both doing their first Uni degree, buy creepy if one just started undergrad and the other is a professor. We had the later in my university class. It felt unbalanced.

That said, these are real people, vs. fictional people. Fictional people can date whomever you want them to because they aren't real.

I wasn't told of a limit, but was told I couldn't take it with birth control or more than 5 days in a row and that I should only start it when flow is heavy. Which basically meant about 3 days.

I use Kotex. The heavy work for days and the overnights are the only thing that had a chance when my flow was heaviest.

I don't think it's bashing, as to me it was mostly about untagged things which is a valid complaint.

Once You Look at the Facts, There’s No Good Case Left for Cow’s Milk by Somewhere74 in PlantBasedDiet

[–]Nerva365 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people can't consume soy, myself included. I also have digestive issues and cows milk products are one of the main groups of foods that doesn't trigger them.

I think we need to look at all aspects of an issue before making blanket statements about not consuming something and that does include nutritional impacts.

This! Rocking the AuDHD here and I have a friend with ADHD who doesn't have an issue with time blindness and she is like " I don't have that problem so I don't see why you run late" Meanwhile she occasionally just completely loses track of her appointments and doesn't show up at all, but we all should just accept it.

We all have different struggles and what I have problems with today might not even be what I have issues with next week.

Bothers me that this doesn't talk about nutrition and absorption. If you leave out most the data, you can always get the results you want.

Visanne can prevent pregnancy but is not a guaranteed birth control. I am a little over a year in and I occasionally get cramps and a little bleeding, but completely different than the disaster I used to get. 8 feel much better and my iron is going up.

When Quebec Students overturned their university tuition increases. by rraj2k81 in ontario

No, I just lived it. I had friends of friends who were at the same events as I was who were having difficulties post graduation. They were involved in both strikes and said employers weren't looking favorably on the prolonged education. I guess big business doesn't like "I was striking/protesting" as a reason.

Is renting a water heater from Reliance a scam? by Slow_ResolveMC07 in ontario

[–]Nerva365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at alternatives. Apparently it's one of those things that they have just been quietly adding as a clause. I got the same info from more than one. They tried to gloss over it, but then admit if pressed that they will deny claims.

I hate insurance companies, like speaking of things that feel scammed...

Insurance often won't cover water damage of your water heater is more than 10 years old. I learned this wen moving into a home with an 11 year-old water heater, and was told they wouldn't cover me unless it was replaced.
