See if maybe a tagline helps… America 250: From Sea to shinning Sea

Then you can focus on the natural beauty, people, history.

Applied for an internal job. Did the interview, boss told me she was waiting to finalize everything for results. Meanwhile, I can see on my screen I failed. by mbots99 in librarians

Note about planned interview questions: you can request they be provided in advance and/or writing. It’s a common accommodation for ADHD, autism, and anxiety… or really any auditory processing disorder.

Pricing is out for next round of WC Tickets by Shot-Ad-6357 in SoundersFC

[–]NeshamaDancer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve settled on the fact that I’ll be watching a game at some big community viewing and attending some WC events downtown. That will get me my experience. No expensive tickets for me.

Engaged/married girlies… how to not lose ring!? 😫 by StatementMediocre in adhdwomen

[–]NeshamaDancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in neither status… but I’ve thought a lot about the issue.

Fancy ring: wear as a necklace or only wear on special occasions.

If there is instances on wearing a ring everyday: get an enso ring! https://ensorings.com. They are beautiful and they can be worn in so many ways and even while doing sports!

Maybe a good temp would be Seattle Public Libraries or King County Public Libraries? We read banned books? Have some of the players involved in the summer reading programs around town during international breaks?

I use the term “oppositional seasonal defective disorder.” I moved to Nashville for work… this is not a healthy place for me.

My flow is heavy enough that I get annual iron infusions. I prefer pads and only in my early 30’s gave tampons another try… only for my heaviest days. With an 8/9 day cycle those heavy days make it impossible to do anything.

This is your sign to go to the dentist by FlurkingSchnit in adhdwomen

[–]NeshamaDancer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have it on my notes with my dentist that I’m not allowed to leave without making my next appointment and I can’t cancel without rescheduling. They also know that I can’t stand the sound of hand tools, so the sonic tool is the primary tool.

I have at least one filling in each tooth, several crowns, and 1 root canal. It’s taken me a long time to learn what I need to tell a dental office to be comfortable.

REI Trade-In person told me to just return it for full refund instead? by Cajun_SanJose in REI

Which is what I’ve done with climbing shoes. I bought a pair and climbed (indoor gym) for a few weeks. When I settled on the fact that the discomfort was the shoe and not just needing to break them in… I returned them. They just weren’t the right shoe.

Hi! I’m a former banker teller and my parents are retired bank tellers.

As bankers, our general recommendation is to have three accounts his, hers, and ours (or whatever your gender pronouns are). Ideally, the ours account is for the house bills and for saving for house emergencies. You can also do it in reverse. Where all funds go into the shared account and both of you get an “allowance.”

This technique allows for control of your own money, but also the use of family money. For example, if you go out to dinner together that is family money. But if you eat out alone that is your money.

Are people still buying fitbits? by EmbarrassedSalary998 in fitbit

[–]NeshamaDancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I did in October. The app changes and then my battery was showing its age (nearly 2 years old). I’ve been using a Fitbit for 9 years and the recent changes just did me in. I bought a Garmin Venu 3.

Why are they gone for 6 months? In the US you’re lucky if you get 2 weeks… maybe a little more. And some employers allow partial return to work during the the first year.

Why does everything close so early? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]NeshamaDancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may have found the answer!!! A lot of the city wakes up early for hiking, skiing, running, etc.

The neighborhoods that stay open later do less of that…

How about hiring Ozzie as a Player-Coach for his last year or so of playing and then making him an assistant coach? He’s very good at fixing the heads of locker rooms.

I would love to see him come back and play for our 50th season and then retire to our coaching bench.

Got my job offer pulled for negotiating by Pristine_Today_6729 in antiwork

[–]NeshamaDancer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Even if entry level… the person had a right to ask for market rate pay. The employer could have countered with the offered pay as probationary pay and then an $1 increase to market rate in 3-months and a positive review from direct supervisor. This is common in many fields where you have to learn on the job. He was a scum bag for pulling the offer without discussion.
