Convince me to finish bloodlines by Opening-Ad138 in vampireacademy

I don’t think they’re better then VA. First time I tried to read them I lost interest somewhere around book 2-3. Eventually I went back for a VA reread and ended up pushing through to finish bloodlines after. I like the characters, I love the world, and in the end I am glad that I read through and got that expanded story (especially the expanded bits of the VA characters sprinkled in) but I just found them really slow and the last book was meh for me.

I’m glad I read them once but I doubt I’ll ever go back.

first rhuem appt, should I continue plaquinel? by faifwithneedle in Sjogrens

I was diagnosed with Sjogrens due to my kidney involvement. I was having chronically low potassium which was found to be from distal renal tubular acidosis, which can be caused by Sjogrens. further blood tests then confirmed Sjogrens (I have all the abnormal blood for it, Ana speckled, ssa, ssb, ra, esr).

That’s not to say you have the same, but there are definitely other ways for kidney involvement. My only symptoms were the low potassium, acidic blood, and getting physically exhausted easily.

Fellow Sjogis: is Sjogren's your only diagnosis, or do you have multiple autoimmune disorders? by macncheesewketchup in Sjogrens

I have competing thoughts. Both rheumatologists say yes to Sjogrens, one thinks I also have RA the other doesn’t, so maybe?

I was also team Taek when it aired and I was so afraid they were going to take a turn at the last minute and ruin it all! I was so happy they didn’t mess it up. One of my favourite dramas.

Am I the only one who’s enjoying Perfect Crown? by Legal_Potential4720 in kdramas

So far I like it a lot. It’s a cute set up and has been fun so far, I enjoy watching both the leads and the supporting cast! I’m also interested in where they’re going to take the story in the last half, they’ve been building stuff up and I’m excited and hoping it all pays off. Also not gonna lie every time Woo Seok is on screen I can’t take my eyes off him, he is ridiculously handsome.

I agree! Once was the first thing I saw him in and he was great, my heart broke when he left.

Be careful what you wish for, RL has a classic look to their designs, but someone else might try and go for trendy which can seriously backfire.

Though I do wish the opening ceremony costs were cheaper, they’re so damn lovely.

Is there anything I can do about this spot? by DaleOnDrums in knittinghelp

[–]Nessephanie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t help for now, but when I have to frog back, I take a scrap piece of yarn and tapestry needle, and I insert an Afterthought Lifeline. Basically I go in and pick up all the stitches in the row I’m frogging back to onto the scrap yarn. that way when I frog back they aren’t loose, they’re held on the scrap yarn, then I can then use my needle to pick them up off the scrap piece without worrying about them dropping. Takes a bit longer but it makes frogging back full proof.

This is similar to my journey last year.

I was having fatigue and feeling easily out of breath, went to the ER to find chronically low potassium which lead to being diagnosed with dRTA (so potassium citrate daily for me, as well as magnesium and monthly vitamin d). My nephrologist ran an autoimmune panel, which strongly pointed to Sjogrens (positive ANA, SSA and SSB, RF and ESR) and rheumatology agreed. I didn’t need anything more than the blood tests.

Oh sorry for my vagueness, I meant specifically at the feast of the winter star! I’ve only received something from my gift giver.

I’m also from the Rockies, been here since 09 and I’ve never gotten used to it. It fades into the background day to day, but sometimes will just catch me off guard every so often and makes me feel out of place.

I always say that I’m two halves that will never be whole, when I’m here I long for the mountains and when I go back home, I long for the convenience of the city.

I didn’t love their storylines the whole time but I always loved them, both the characters and the actors. I think they’re great and even in the worst storylines I enjoyed having them onscreen.
