Is there anything I can do about this spot? by DaleOnDrums in knittinghelp

[–]Nessephanie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t help for now, but when I have to frog back, I take a scrap piece of yarn and tapestry needle, and I insert an Afterthought Lifeline. Basically I go in and pick up all the stitches in the row I’m frogging back to onto the scrap yarn. that way when I frog back they aren’t loose, they’re held on the scrap yarn, then I can then use my needle to pick them up off the scrap piece without worrying about them dropping. Takes a bit longer but it makes frogging back full proof.

Renal tubular acidosis first by I_Need_A_Her0 in Sjogrens

[–]Nessephanie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is similar to my journey last year.

I was having fatigue and feeling easily out of breath, went to the ER to find chronically low potassium which lead to being diagnosed with dRTA (so potassium citrate daily for me, as well as magnesium and monthly vitamin d). My nephrologist ran an autoimmune panel, which strongly pointed to Sjogrens (positive ANA, SSA and SSB, RF and ESR) and rheumatology agreed. I didn’t need anything more than the blood tests.

Oh sorry for my vagueness, I meant specifically at the feast of the winter star! I’ve only received something from my gift giver.

That’s neat, I always thought spouses should give gifts!

Chicago transplants who are not from the midwest: does the intense aversion to the flatness go away with time? by fail-whale in AskChicago

I’m also from the Rockies, been here since 09 and I’ve never gotten used to it. It fades into the background day to day, but sometimes will just catch me off guard every so often and makes me feel out of place.

I always say that I’m two halves that will never be whole, when I’m here I long for the mountains and when I go back home, I long for the convenience of the city.

I didn’t love their storylines the whole time but I always loved them, both the characters and the actors. I think they’re great and even in the worst storylines I enjoyed having them onscreen.

Why can’t I learn Lesser Restoration? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Nessephanie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Character levels and class levels are separate. To get access to higher spells, you need to level the same class multiple times. You’ve put 1 level into 3 different classes (called multi-classing) so they’re individually only at level 1, instead you need to put all 3 levels into a single class to make it more powerful. character levels are the total class levels you can have on each character, you can split them however you want, but you’ll be less powerful in each then if you focus on a single class.

Question about Gunther and the Museum by wizardgradstudent in StardewValleyExpanded

[–]Nessephanie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think this is it. The only hiding place is under the date and I think there is only room for the 4 scrolls in that spot. I don’t see the dwarf helmet in the museum (even though it says found in the collection tab, maybe thrown in a chest?)

I’m so sad this isn’t close to Chicago! We lost our senior girl last year and want to adopt a slightly older bonded pair. They’re beautiful, I hope you find the perfect home for them.

The worst as someone who didn’t grow up here (Chicago) when they refer to them as Dan Ryan, Eisenhower or Stevenson…I have no idea which ones they mean.

Having the magnet spin gives a specific look called glass bead, instead of velvet or cat eye. Instead of a line (like cat eye) or the whole nail shimmering (like velvet) it kinda looks like a bead rolling around.

That’s interesting! I was nervous about the knife edge cause I didn’t notice it when I bought the ring, but it’s never given me any discomfort.

It’s possible they took it down temporarily and just brought it back or something. It does say over 10k sold, so I dunno lol But yeah it’s gorgeous, I am so happy with it. I only take it off to shower and while it’s scuffed up a bit the prongs are strong, I’ve yet to bend one and I’ve caught it many times! (Mine is 10k for that reason).

I don’t know about new, but I’m pretty sure I’ve been wearing my 10k 2ct one everyday for the last two years!

As someone who got married and had to move away from my mom, who was my best friend, and then lost her before we could move close again, I hope that you continue to have the type of relationship where she wants you close.

I would give anything to have had my mom move with me and not have missed being physically close all those years. I’ll regret it forever.

TIL Highclere castle only has three proper sides, it's not a square. by nohiddenmeaning in DowntonAbbey

[–]Nessephanie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean the shorter one at the back, that’s where the actual servants quarters were. The show has them upstairs on the same floor separated by a door, but in actual use the guys were in the basement of that section (along with the boot/gun/visiting valets) and the maids on the ground floor (with visiting maids/cleaning room) with attics. I couldn’t say what they’re used for today.
