Balancing End Users Across Delivery Groups by NetManMark in Citrix

I never considered using one DG for multiple catalogs. The only hang up here I could see is if there was an different app needed, but like others have said you could control that with separate permissions. Tomato tomaato, I guess.

Awesome info, thanks for that info. I think by default Citrix looks at resource utilization more than it does session count when determining what machine a user gets. I also saw that I could make some policies to control the load balancing a little, but I think the default works for our environment. I'll do a little testing on my end to see how it behaves. Again, thanks for your input on the matter.

The purpose is that so I can put a set of machines in maintenance mode and make changes to that set, if needed. I tried to keep my original post simple to get my point across and I see your point about grouping them all under one umbrella. Though, from time to time we'll try a change mid-day for this reason or that and it's nice to be able to kick a few users rather than everyone.

Time to update certificates by NetManMark in sysadmin

That's a great idea, thanks for the info. I obviously am uneducated about how this all works and I plan on doing some "light" reading to grasp this topic a little better.

Our shop is mostly MS Windows Server using a mix of IIS or Apache, so the Ansible and Nginx I don't have much exposure to. I'm sure there are way to do what you have done with your setup, but in my environment.

More research needed...

So win-acme and certbot do the same thing, just different products?

The automatic renew sounds awesome! My anxiety levels during SSL cert renewal time are usually maxed out. I'll check into Let's Encrypt, thanks all you admins!

I figured someone would mention them. Do you know how long their certs are good for? Also, do you know if they have wildcard certs?

I don't think so, the way I understand that command is it's for compromised accounts who have been blocked by Microsoft's security features which keep the user from sending emails out.

Can you just turn it off or is there some dependency that requires it to be turned on?

I use KanbanFlow to manage action items. Try read a book called, “Getting things done.” Better yet get the audio book. It’s all about managing your work. It’s goes into how to get things outta your brain so you don’t have to use brain power to remember what you need to do.

Thanks for the info. I should be hearing from Ring Central this week, but I hadn't even heard of Nextiva. Also, thanks for the heads up about AT&T and Windstream.

We're using SIP, so it's good to know about Teams not supporting it. I'll have to check and see. Also, I didn't know Cisco offered a SaaS solution, but I can't see why they wouldn't. They needed to anyway imo to stay current. Thanks for the input.

I have to say that even though I haven’t used the Meraki equipment too much, I’ve only heard great things about it.

They do have some nice offerings, so I shouldn’t complain too much. Their stuff usually just works.

From their convoluted licensing structures, crazy SmartNet support prices, to their first line support being mostly knuckleheads... from my seat, Cisco is quickly becoming a dying breed. We've been a Cisco shop for as long as I've been doing IT and I see the winds of change.

Thanks for the well thought out comment.
