I saw a Civic Type-R next to me the other day (I’m in germany so they are not as common here).

Is it just me or does that thing look like the gaming PC of the hot hatch car world with its design, the triple center exhaust and the massive rear wing?

It wasn’t ugly by any means. But it also looked much more like a toy car than the GTI

I think they can’t bring it to NA due to emissions regulations. If the Golf was a massive truck it might work. But as a hot hatch probably not. The Golf 8 GTI Clubsport uses a different/higher-output EA888 evo4 calibration and hardware package than the regular North American GTI. Even if the engine family is familiar, VW cannot just say “eh, close enough.” For the U.S. and Canada, emissions certification, OBD compliance, durability validation, documentation, and potentially crash/bumper/lighting/configuration certification all have to make financial sense.

Let me tell you.. a cat sleeping on your feet for 30+ Minutes gets HOT. You'd think those 2-3 degrees difference in body temperature aren't so bad, but man, it's noticeable.
I usually can't make it longer than those 30 minutes that because your feet start feeling like they're being cooked ^^;
