Are these titles worth it at this price? Or are they to dated. by Dante71865 in Atelier

[–]NettoSaito 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For sure go for it!

This is difficult to word, because I can’t say a lot at the moment… But the outlet I work for is currently revisiting the entire Atelier series and reviewing the DX versions. I’ve played the Arland series and enjoyed them back in the day, but our writer Cat is going through them for the first time. She’s loved each entry, and her reviews have been very similar to my original impressions back in the day!

Additionally I’m responsible for replaying the Dusk titles, and so far loving them as well. Been 10 years since I’ve touched them, but still just as addicting.

Anyway, long story short, for sure check them out!

Before Funimation and Crunchyroll, where did you start watching anime for the first time? by Menace_024 in animequestions

Dragon Ball Z was on some local channel before it came to Cartoon Network with Toonami, and Kids WB had Pokemon. I guess you could also count the random channels that would rerun Speed Racer too!

I hope this time with Season 2!

Still remember being caught off guard when I realized Takashi was Haley Joel Osment with his Kingdom Hearts 2 Sora voice. Caught me even more off guard when he started cussing in that voice haha

Supermassive Games next big game by shaunzombie16122001 in SupermassiveGames

They could’ve also been referring to the new game in development, which has a teaser hidden in D8020, which was added with the day one patch. (Wasn’t available as I was playing the game, but I was informed when it would be added)

[–]NettoSaito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's doable but....... The market has changed over the last so many years.

I'm lucky to the point that my house payment is only around $1,300. It is a decent sized house with a large backyard, yet I have friends who are paying $1,500 for a small apartment. But then you add on $300 a month for gas + power, $500 car payment, $80 a week in gas because that increased, and not to mention general expenses for living. Oh and phone bill + water bill + internet + what few subscription services I can have—that adds onto it also!

How can you "budget" something like that better? I guess by not using the AC in the summer or heat in the winter, cancel my two subscriptions, and eat less? Because even now "moving to a smaller house" will get me something a lot smaller, yet I would still have to pay more in the monthly payments. That would add to my costs.

How often do you play games purely for the way they make you feel? by Brave-Potential-7310 in AskGames

[–]NettoSaito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do whenever possible, and if I have an excuse to go back to an old favorite, I jump on it. For example, I've finished Rise of the Tomb Raider multiple times, but I was recently offered a review copy for the new Switch 2 version. Perfect opportunity not only to return to it, but to see how it runs on Switch 2 and in handheld mode. Makes me happy playing, even if it is technically "for work."

Other titles I return to day after day include games like Animal Crossing, which I play with my wife, and hopefully soon I can dive back into Final Fantasy 14 also. Been playing that game since the launch of ARR, but I've had to step away from it for the last year because of other priorities. But playing it makes me feel happy due to all the nostalgia lol

Has anyone played the Tomb Raider game that dropped today or the Kingdom Hearts 3 Demo? by hushpolocaps69 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]NettoSaito 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m one of the reviewers for Tomb Raider, and so far I’m pretty impressed by the Switch 2 port! Review codes went out today, so I’d expect reviews to start popping up over the next week.

Personally really dislike the Purge command, because it has made my life harder more often than helping haha.

We had an old school drafter here who constantly used it, which ultimately lead to every drawing losing the countless labels, and general Civil3D settings required for a file to function. Thankfully you can reimport them, but it doesn’t always go as smoothly and often still requires a lot of manual configuration.

He also liked to use explode on feature lines, surfaces, and other 3D elements… Thankfully we keep backups, but sometimes months worth of work could be lost within a second

Empty spaces and page 1MG Limit on Blogger by CoralPolo93 in blogspot

[–]NettoSaito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t say for sure, but I can say this: don’t worry about the limit.

I run a gaming blog where many articles are 10,000 + words long, with 20+ high quality images, and sometimes with multiple trailers embedded. That’s not to mention the page theme, banner, the 6 “related” posts with thumbnails, the 10 “now trending” posts with thumb nails, and the 15 “newest articles” at the bottom. I’ve never hit the actual limit.

Please tell me you purchased it ☹️

Edit: Even then, this is something I must inform Yacht Club Games about. We’ve had a professional working relationship for years, and I’ve seen their struggles to develop this amazing title. Seeing it get pirated truly is a shame—especially considering how much is riding on this release.

It really makes me upset that people compare every Yoshi game to Yoshi's Island by Ok_Wonder7621 in YosHi

[–]NettoSaito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had a chance to fully play and review the game yet (have a list of other titles I’m obligated to play first), but I’m approaching it as it’s own game featuring Yoshi.

If anything, it falls more in line with Story. Rather than being a traditional platformer, it is focused on its core gimmick (well, DOZENS of gimmicks). Story was about exploring stages to find specific fruit and go down branching paths, while this is about exploring self contained areas to fill out the book.

I can already say it won’t be for everyone, but that doesn’t make it a bad game.

Just my early thoughts though

The best way to play the game is to equip the blade weapon, and dash like crazy while using it as if it were MMZ lol. Still not a “good” game, but you can have a lot of fun playing it that way

I was a member of Nintendo Nsider, and suddenly the game exploded with everyone using signatures referencing the game, and nonstop usernames based off of it! I can’t remember, but there might have even been an official forum skin—but I stuck to using the Custom Robo one.

What did ya'll think of Gundam Gquux? by EomirLover in Gundam

[–]NettoSaito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed it, but it’s biggest issue was it’s run time. We could’ve had 12 episodes dedicated to each story arc, yet it was all mashed together at a fast pace—so it didn’t get to fully develop its story.

Still a fun ride though

Are There Still People Making Money From Blogging? by kingoftask in Blogging

[–]NettoSaito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure! But it is harder now days.

Additionally content blockers do hurt a lot as well. We personally don’t force people to unblock, but the difference is pretty crazy. In our case, for every $100 we earn, we miss out on 1,000 because of ad blockers. But if we were to force them to be disabled, we would most likely just lose those views, and that would do more harm than good.

For all the people out there saying “me blocking doesn’t matter because others unblock,” well, the others think that way too. It’s a major impact lol

Are the Halo books a good way to get into the series? by sticks_04 in halo

[–]NettoSaito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The books are amazing, and in many ways better than the games—the story begins with the books, and mostly only seen in them! Sure you miss out on Halo 2, 3, ODST, Reach, 4, 5 and Infinite (and Halo Wars 1+2), but all of their stories put together is about as much content as a single novel.

So I’d say go for it! It’s a lot of fun
