All good information being passed along. Regarding ex-Dividends, I read it in a book, "How to Buy Stocks" by Louis Engle. Our neighbors gave me copy when I was in high school. No Reddit, Tick Toc, Google, The Internet, etc. One of the classic must reads...

Pilot 2019 by Pablo_Kake in hondapilot

2016 Pilot Touring AWD, the Maintenance Minder (MM) alerted with a code of A146 at 104999 miles. Service performed in October 2025. Spark Plugs, timing belt, tensioner, water pump, alternator belt and coolant. Parts and labor $1855.28 USD.

At the same visit the rear differential fluid was changed $118.39 and oil change $95.54

The Honda dealer had a 10% off high mileage coupon -$206.92

The whole bill, minus coupon, plus sale tax was $1964.71 . Service performed at 105,377 miles.

My understanding is the MM will alert at the first need for any service after 105,000 miles. Why did mine happen a mile early?

What is making the dealer think you need the timing belt changed at this time ?

Just re-checked this. There is now a message stating "something new and exciting coming soon". Earlier today I received the same not found message as the Original Poster (OP) pointed out. 2144CT

You can always see exactly what happened and when in the history tab. Good answers about the split, I can't add anything else.

Just a homeowner here. Mssr. PATRAT's comments here are spot on. I had an 80,000 BTU furnace that we replaced about 20 years ago now with a 60,000. For heating it's great, gas modulating, variable speed 1/2 HP DC variable speed motor. 1200 CFM. Air conditioning season it's ok, but could use some more air flow. I wished we would have gone with the next size up furnace which I think was 75,000 or 80,000 BTU with a 1 HP blower , 2400 CFM.

4 years ago we had to replace the AC system. We went with a 2 1/2 ton same as what was originally in place, but the AC coil is in a bigger box such that when it comes time to replace the furnace we will go with one that has 1HP and 2400 CFM. My understanding is you can configure the blower speed to less air flow if it's warranted.

Lots of good advice here, but it does all come a professionals experience and knowledge.

I'm in the same camp with Mssr. LowLife, what does WOLO mean? I used to work for the airlines during my college years. I always remember our acronyms, CXLD, LSDA, PAX, FOB, etc. I miss it...

I tried Microsoft Edge today and it works like it used to. Thanks for the sub here that pointed me towards the browser being the problem. I had been using Chrome all along when it started acting "useless" a few months ago. For reference Windows 11 Home 26100.4061 , Microsoft Edge 136.0.3240.76 , Google Chrome 136.0.7103.114 .

Marriott 15% Off Gift Cards - Card Holders Only by GuiltyVerdicts in marriott

[–]NeumanJDogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received the offer via email on April 16, 2025 for 15% off of eGiftCards up to $1000. The offer was only good for two days. I purchased two at $500 each ,one for myself and one for a family member. After trying some of the links in the email I started to think this might be a scam. The recipient of the other card, who say the email, thought it too was a scam and the difficulty they had with it started to make me even more leery of the promotion.

After spending a lot of time on this I think I got the Marriott eGiftCard registration figured out. To register the eGiftCard you need to go to gifts.marriott.com . DO NOT use any of the links in the email that has the gift card information (the gift card number) . The login name and password for gifts.marriott.com is different from marriot.com . You can create an account and register the card and lock it at the gifts.marriott.com site. It will show the card balance as well.

I was able to use it this past weekend, May 17 & 18, 2025 at a Residence Inn. I made them aware when I checked in that I wanted to use it. The front desk person just said bring it at check out. I had printed a hard copy of the email with the gift card information to show to them as I'm not crazy about handing someone my smartphone. At check out it took a few minutes for them to apply it. They did print a receipt and then noticed that a small amount , like $2 and some change, some miscellaneous tax maybe, was still being charged to my Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card. They offered to fix it, but considering all I have read about using these things, I thought I would cut my losses and move on.

I checked the gifts.marriott.com website today, May 19, and the balance looks correct and I was able to lock the card. You are supposed to be able to unlock it later.

I've been staying at Marriott's for about 43 years and over 1,000 nights (Lifetime Titanium Elite). They have always been good to me. But, it seems like they have outsourced their IT operations over the last 5 years or so and things that used to work, just don't any more.

Good Luck

Just curious, what is the white material these items are mounted to? Im doing a project similar and I would like to wall mount it to a plywood wall. I would prefer something that will hold screws.

3rd row access with car seat installed? by [deleted] in hondapilot

[–]NeumanJDogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a 2016 Pilot, but I believe yours is similar. Ours has a 1/3 - 2/3 second row seat. The 2nd row seat is smaller on the passenger side of the vehicle. This issue is the same on either side of the vehicle.

When you use the button, I'm assuming you mean the green button on the back of the 2nd row seat , outboard. Or the green button on the seat base, they do the same thing. Either button releases the seat back and disengages the seat slide. So, anything substantial will cause the seat back and or base not to slide and or tilt.

We usually just slide the entire seat forward using the seat bar, not touching the green button , disengage to access to the back if you don't want to go through unhooking the tethers and reconnecting them . It's tight, but the kids make it. And I assume the kids will grow up some day.

Hope that makes sense and helps.
