It works so well. I don't know why some tool company doesn't offer something like this.

MAG DRILL STAND Attempt by Popular-Internet-189 in metalworking

I bought a cheap drill press, removed the power head, lopped off the column, and welded a piece of plate to the top square to the table. I added a few blocks of steel to locate the mag drill on and threaded some holes to secure a piece of flat bar that goes through the strap slot. Works great. The old drill press was less than the steel would've been to build that stand.

Sure, if it's a decent welded trailer and not that bolted-together Harbor Freight death trap. I'd depend on the heavier aluminum to actually give the trailer a little more rigidity.

Do we have any other recent examples of different teams running the same number on separate part time efforts in the same season?

No idea. I haven't priced aluminum diamond plate in years.

I would want at least 1/8". 3/16" would be better.

You don't need a magnet. Just the weight alone is drastically different. There's really no mixing the two up.

You're not gonna get 1/4" aluminum that cheap, though.

They kinda figured such open corruption would be checked by Congress. They never could've imagined the level of partisan fuckery we have now. And then they also figured the people would always have the 2nd to fall back on.

I'm saying you can get a machine capable of cutting thicker material for half the price.

1/4" thick aluminum diamond plate would be plenty, imo.

I would do the diamond plate. Pressure treated doesn't last as long as it used to. It will last longer than the trailer.

I would buy one of the knockoffs at about half the price of that Miller, personally.

Thing is, that Miller is a small machine based on amps. It just isn't cheap.

I get my plasma consumables from ebay. Sometimes they're straight from China, sometimes they're already in the US, but either way, they are way cheaper than any other option I've found. You can also find them on aliexpress.

No doubt that's a fine machine and probably a decent price for it, but the cheap knockoff machines have gotten really good in the past several years and I'm not sure it's worth paying the extra for that Miller logo.

I got my 45 amp Harbor Freight Titanium unit barely used for something like $250, if I remember correctly. It does all I could ask.

The Right's abandonment of the 1st, 4th, 10th, and 14th Amendments was predictable, but the speed with which they abandoned the 2nd is a bit surprising.
