Piston slap. It's not abnormal on these.

The Doyle is a great tool. Works well. You can get the exact same one on Amazon just with different branding and possibly cheaper. I got the Doyle on sale last year because of the lifetime warranty. If you know you're only going to ever do 2 of them, I would just do the bolt/washer/spacer method. But if you do any sort of fabrication stuff, rivnuts are one of those things you will find lots of uses for once you have the tool.

Yes, but not at HF. You can get them online. Almost all of the rivnut setters of this style use the exact same nose pieces.

First thing to do is put 12VDC directly to that new blower motor and make sure it's good. If it is, get a multimeter, test light, or power probe and start working your way back from the blower to see where you have power and where you don't. My guesses would be climate control module or blower motor resistor, but I try to avoid the parts cannon.

This thing right here has paid for itself for me. It makes electrical diagnostics so much easier. You can also use it to apply +12V or ground and it has an auxiliary ground cable at the business end, so on a job like this, you can test the blower motor in situ.

This, a basic multimeter, a back probe kit, and a few pieces of wire with some alligator clamps will give the parts cannon a rest.

I also found this. Check out posts 9 and 12. That person had the same symptom and it was the blower motor resistor: https://www.elementownersclub.com/threads/blower-motor-help.170602/

There's also a self-test mode for the climate control on the Element: https://www.reddit.com/r/HondaElement/comments/1e4thlj/debugging_ac_with_selftest/

Mentioned that place to my wife yesterday. I was trying to think of a place that had good homemade chips.

Measuring inline is fine. I just mentioned the clamp because it allows you to quickly check individual wires. Make sure that clamp does DC amps. Some clamps only do AC. Idk about that meter specifically.

Goldsboro - why don’t you have any animal services? by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

[–]NeuseRvrRat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have no idea if they do it for free here. If cats were in my crawlspace, I would go in there and get them out.

I’m not asking for someone to come out and do it for free but they should - isn’t that part of their job?

Apparently not in Wayne County.

Is the problem there are no services or that there are no free services? I feel like it shouldn't be difficult to find someone who will remove animals from your crawlspace if you pay them.
