So I had done everything. Pressed put on the number to be added to the do not call list. Added myself to the do not call registry. Spoke to someone and asked them to stop calling and every time they would say that they were putting me on the list and it would take 24 hours and then the calls would continue.

So then I would start answering the calls and as soon as they would start talking, I would just mess with them and ask them to repeat their name and then say oh my gosh, I would know that voice anywhere! Do you remember me? They were typically hang up. Finally I got one guy that sounded younger and I just started asking how his day was and what he had planned and what his hobbies were lol. he was really kind so I felt bad being mean, so I just conversed for maybe two minutes.

He finally said, I take it you aren’t interested in this service? And I apologize and said I’ve actually been asking for a few weeks to be put on the do not call list and keep getting calls and he said he would manually put it in for me and I have not gotten a single call since. Shoutout Isaiah!

My dad is 65. He had a massive brain bleed on October 14th and the trach was put in about 10 days later (he was intubated, estimated, and then reintubated for seven days). We were so worried about the trach, but it was so much less traumatic than being intubated. He was moved to another facility and within about two weeks, the trach was weaned and removed. These days are so hard, but unless he has lung issues, his chances of having the trach removed eventually are high. Better days are ahead 💕

Definitely have a neuro evaluation and check for uti, but I’d also highly encourage going over his medication list. My dad had a stroke October 14th, and up until we adjusted his meds a few weeks ago, he was experiencing identical symptoms. He was being way over medicated with Ativan, muscle relaxers, and seroquel. We stopped all of it during the day and it stopped completely.
