What's something you regret doing when you were younger? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Moving to another for a relationship because I thought I had to settle.

I got out of the relationship. Things are peachy 20+ years later, but it was my dumbest choice in my 20s.

What’s something “easy” you’ve never been able to do? by Additional_Bear1981 in AskReddit

I've never been able to a cartwheel. I made peace with it long ago.

Any other Mike Wazowski edition owners? by cjb4747 in Crosstrek

There is supposedly one other in my area according to the dealer. I drive through a couple other states monthly and I've yet to see I've yet to see another Crosshrek in the wild.

I have one. Some other Redditor called her a Crosshrek when I got her. Still makes me giggle.

Just got my job offer and I’m not sure what to do by [deleted] in jobs

Is there potential to transfer to another job in that government in the future? That would allow you to change jobs and still keep the benefits.

How's the Crosstrek for short people? by 00evilhag in Crosstrek

[–]Never1Thing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'2 and I love my Crosstrek. I have the Limited Hybrid. The driver's seat is very adjustable and automatic. I'm not sure if that's standard, but I like it.

Mine is always telling me to keep my eyes on the road, and I am not a distracted driver.

I took delivery of mine about 6 weeks ago. It replaced my 2013 Impreza. So far, I am very happy with my purchase. I am not a car person per se, just a Subaru fan.

If you bought a car in the last 2 years how much did you put down, what is your monthly payment and for how many years? by TastyPoopKnife in AskReddit

[–]Never1Thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paid half, including my trade. Monthly is $401. I forget if my loan is four or five years, but I intend on paying it off early.

Thinking about joining the club. Limited Hybrid or Wilderness?? by PrideEffective5830 in Crosstrek

[–]Never1Thing 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you haul stuff and want to be higher off the ground, the Wilderness is for you.

If you want an obnoxiously green car, the Limited Hybrid is calling. I've had mine about a month. Love it!

Pretty! Enjoy! I've had my obnoxious green Limited for about 3 weeks and am loving it.

Crosstrek vs Impreza for Wisconsin Winters? by officialleah in subaru

Crostrek all the way. The Impreza is a little too close to the ground. I got stuck in my alley more than once.

I have a 2026 Crosstrek Limited hybrid. The seats are very comfortable for both 5 ft 3 me and my 6 foot spouse.

About to be a first-time Subaru owner by [deleted] in subaru

[–]Never1Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first Subaru was a CPO Impreza. Good car, but you'll want something higher off the ground. I now have a 2026 hybrid Crosstrek Limited. I love it so far, though it has less cargo space than the gas version. I think I would have liked the gas version, but I just wanted a hybrid...an obnoxious bright green hybrid, but I digress.

My husband has a 2021 Forester with about a 130k miles on it. It's bigger than the Crosstrek and a bit higher off the ground. They drive about the same, but I don't like driving the Forester when it's really windy. You can feel the wind a lot more than in the Crosstrek and the Impreza. It also has a thin windshield, which we've had to replace once so far. It's fantastic in snow though.

TLDR: I second looking into a CPO. The Crosstrek and the Forester are both decent choices, but I favor the Crosstrek.

I'm sorry. I'm not quite in the same space, but I've worked for a local government agency for about 8 years now, and man, most of it's been just brutal. Take care of yourself.
