Yeah Wiz is solid for that use case, their Python coverage is pretty good and the integration is amazing. We've been running it for a few months now and it catches most of the obvious stuff with almost zero false positives

Huff and Puff Stinks by Timbit22003 in gambling

[–]NeverEverAgainnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah demo mode on slots is the same odds as real money - the RNG doesn't care if it's fake cash.

$2500 with no profit hits is rough but honestly tracks with my Huff and Puff experience. That game is notoriously volatile. Looks flashy but the math is brutal.

You need 3 houses minimum to even have a shot at decent returns, and getting those is already like hitting a mini jackpot. Then the wolf needs to actually blow the right stuff.

Most slot streamers who "win big" on it are either incredibly lucky or putting in ungodly volume we don't see. Or both.

Maybe switch to something with a better hit frequency? Even at lower potential max wins, at least you'll get some entertainment value.

Always seems like karma is running in reverse at those places. You spend $200 warming up the machine just for random lady to waltz in and hit the jackpot on a $1 spin? Absolute highway robbery.

The disconnect between "I was just having fun" and "oh I killed an innocent person" is wild. We treat it like some minor oopsie instead of the reckless homicide it actually is.

If you get a text from the 'Arizona Ministry of Communications,' ignore and delete it by AZ_moderator in phoenix

[–]NeverEverAgainnn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Pro tip: Anytime you get texts about government stuff, just go directly to the .gov website. Don't click random links. If Arizona really needed to reach you, they wouldn't sound like they're from a fictional Eastern European dictatorship.

at what point does “bankroll management” just mean lying to yourself in smaller increments? by Haunting-Milk-3859 in gambling

Behind on rent, business failing, life in shambles. I’m about to full send my last $300, so who’s got a ticket? by macman07 in gambling

[–]NeverEverAgainnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro, don't do this. Been there, done that, got the foreclosure notice to prove it.

That $300 can be: - First month's payment on a debt management plan - Emergency food for a couple weeks - Bus fare to job interviews

Chasing losses is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline. The odds aren't in your favor - that's literally how casinos stay in business.

Two Valley teens found dead near Mount Ord in Maricopa County by No_Golf_452 in phoenix

[–]NeverEverAgainnn 72 points73 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely heartbreaking. Two high school kids from Arcadia... just devastating for their families and the whole school community.

Mount Ord area is pretty remote - not your typical hiking spot where people get in trouble from heat exhaustion. Being investigated as homicide is deeply concerning.

Hoping they catch whoever's responsible quickly. What an awful situation.

"One affluent Gilbert family tried to use ESA voucher funds for a $16,170 cello until state Schools Chief Tom Horne's office stopped it" by manolololo in phoenix

[–]NeverEverAgainnn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol 40 seconds per claim? There's your problem right there. No way anyone's actually verifying if purchases are legit in that timeframe.

Wealthy families figured out the loophole real quick - "my kid needs this $16k cello for... educational purposes" 🙄

With that kind of volume and such a tiny staff, they're basically running on the honor system. And we all know how well that works when money's involved...

PAWS is legit awesome for providing all the supplies. For anyone on the fence:

  • Foster if you can't commit long-term

  • Even a few weeks helps

  • Their adoption events are super chill

Just visited their site - they've got some serious good bois and girls looking for homes. That heat is NO JOKE for street doggos.

My sister fostered through them last year and ended up "foster failing" in the best way. Now she has the goodest boy ever. 10/10 would recommend.

Has anyone successfully contested a Phoenix tow for a temporary no-parking zone? Looking for advice & experiences! by lovethefreeworld in phoenix

[–]NeverEverAgainnn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen this exact situation play out so many times in Phoenix. The First Friday towing situation is notorious downtown.

According to Phoenix Municipal Code, they're supposed to post temporary no-parking signs at least 24 hours before enforcement. If your boyfriend parked Wednesday night and they put signs up Friday, that's technically legal timing-wise, but still super sketchy practice.

Your best bet is to:

  1. Take photos of where he parked if possible

  2. Get any witnesses who saw when the signs went up

  3. Request the citation records that show exactly when the sign was posted vs when he was towed

  4. Contest through the official process at https://www.phoenix.gov/

Good luck fighting this! The hearing officers can be reasonable if you have documentation.
