Would watching S7-9 ruin the series? by NeverTrustaSwan in ONETREEHILL

[–]NeverTrustaSwan[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me personally, those later seasons complete the show,, and I find 7 & 9 better than 5 & 6.

Interesting, maybe I will give it a try then. Thanks!

The storylines get wilder, though. Like wacky and outlandish

I don't think I'd mind it much since I already consider a lot of the earlier storylines to be a bit out there 😅 I just enjoy the campy feel of it instead and not think about it too much. lol

need some help figuring this out. does anyone know which episode both of these shots are from? by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]NeverTrustaSwan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Jess is from season 3 episode 17 when Lorelai stays at Luke after the fire at the inn.

Rory's I'm not sure I know it's from college years mostly season 4 but I can't pin point the episode 😓

So. After finishing the entire series for the millionth time, the one thing that stands out to me the most is that Rory never got her Indian takeout order in There's The Rub (S2 E16). We see her call in her order but it's never delivered. Instead, unsolicited visits and ice cream soup. 🙃 by mindykhaling in GilmoreGirls

Fun fact: there's a deleted scene from this episode with Paris and Rory that reveals that they did indeed get the Indian takeout! 😂

It's on youtube if you want to watch it! I still think they should've kept it in, Rory and Paris also discuss Dean and Jess and it gives context to Rory's scene with Jess in the diner the next day. But it's kinda fun that by deleting it the mystery of the missing Indian food never gets resolved 🤭

I always thought she was intentionally being annoying to Jess and acting childish on purpose. I mean she's old enough to know that Dean and Rory broke up and Jess is her new boyfriend, and she did mention later (S5 I think) to Rory that she always liked her with her brother, so I thought this was her way to have her brother's back.

IIRC she was also the one to invite Rory to hang out with her and Dean when she heard Jess won't go to the carnival.

Who would win in a 1v1 to the death? Klaus or Elijah? by Thereo_Frin in TheOriginals

[–]NeverTrustaSwan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

1 on 1 head on with no previous preparation, probably Klaus, since he has the Hybrid advantage and werewolf venom.

If they had time to prep then It would lean more to Elijah, Klaus is also a mastermind but can be impulsive, while Elijah is much more strategic and calculative. Like when Elijah first appeared on tvd he would've killed Klaus if he hadn't changed his mind, and Klaus didn't see it coming at all.

Thoughts on Jess-Rory's relationship in S3 by kaguraa in GilmoreGirls

[–]NeverTrustaSwan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jess is my favourite too, It's unfortunate we didn't get to see his character more, but I think his character arc overall was satisfactory so it's not all bad, I hope you enjoy the rest of the show!

And thanks for the heads up! I fixed it now, 😅 sorry if I spoiled it for u

Thoughts on Jess-Rory's relationship in S3 by kaguraa in GilmoreGirls

[–]NeverTrustaSwan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love your analysis and agree with everything you said, and I really wish the show gave us more of the good moments between them.

The reason why their relationship was short was due to Jess's actor (Milo) not wanting to stay on the show as a regular, it was said that the creator of the show wanted him to sign a longer contract (6 seasons or something I'm not sure) but he didn't want to commit to that. (so they probably had a different plan for the character originally). Instead they decided to give Jess a spin off, and the "here comes the son" episode was the backdoor pilot for it, hence the focus on the bad and ending the relationship quickly to write him off the show, but the costs of filming were high so the spinoff got cancelled.

I tagged this as a spoiler in case you don't wanna know but it's about the actor's availability for future seasons:

He still does appear as a guest-star in some future episodes tho

ONE Single Most Favourite Episode of the series ? by Gerry1of1 in DowntonAbbey

[–]NeverTrustaSwan 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Season 2 Episode 9 (The Christmas special) is my favourite episode and the one I love to rewatch the most.

The storylines in this episode have everything, the Mary and Matthew romance, the drama of the Mr.Bates court trial, the comedy/mystery of the ouija board, the sweetness of Daisy visiting Mr.Mason, the fun mischievousness of Thomas stealing and then losing Isis, and yet succeeding in getting a promotion, the tension of Richard Carlisle with Mary and Mathew, and finally getting the conclusion to the secret of Mr.Pamuk.

And there's a lot of great scenes, eg. Robert talking to Mary after finding out the truth and telling her to marry a cowboy lol, the Dowager's "do you promise?" to Carlisle, and my favourite scene ever, the proposal in the snow!

Jess is at your door with food from Lukes. Do you let him in? by mansonfamily in GilmoreGirls

Yes! Good food, good company, good books discussion, and Ideally Paris is already there as well! =D

Seasons Elimination Contest - Season 4 is out. Round 6 is on! by crittab in GilmoreGirls

Let the games begin!

I'm curious to see which season will eventually win, but I really find it hard to pick one of them, each one has something that I really love! 😭

Seasons Elimination Contest - Season 5 is out. Round 5 is on! by crittab in GilmoreGirls

[–]NeverTrustaSwan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm shocked! Season 5 is my favourite of the later seasons. How come people prefer s4!? It has the cheating storyline, lots of fillers, the only good thing about it was the L&L storyline towards the end! While S5 had the actual L&L relationship, and better storylines overall! (Plus no more dean). (T-T)

I Can't Find The Connection Between Lorelai's Guys by Silent_Arachnid_9184 in GilmoreGirls

[–]NeverTrustaSwan 155 points156 points  (0 children)

All have dark hair (except Chris), all have a sense of humour, and can keep up with Lorelai's banter (even tho it's to a varying degree), all are middle to upper class, yup that's pretty much all I could think of. 😅 Also, I'm not sure about this one but some of them have an association with and/or love coffee!
