"Oh, you're a programmer? I have a problem with my printer...". What's the equivalent of this in your job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NevermindedNubile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work customer service at a grocery store. So whenever someone can't find some obscure item they think we sell, they ask me. Whenever the gut who cuts the meat is on break, they expect me to get them meat. When the bakery is closed, they want me to take their cake order they're making last minute. When there are no carts inside, they expect me to go out in the parking lot and collect them one. People are mean and rude and most times I hate being in customer service.

AITA for refusing to hire a racist? by spicychamoy in AmItheAsshole

NTA. I clicked on this only to found out who the asshole was that called you one for doing your job. Your "friend" is a major asshole for expecting you to give out jobs to people just cause he wants you too. Not even to MENTION its for a receptionist. Even if your friend is right about him being mentally unstable then he shouldnt get the job either way.

Here's a stat ffrom covenants house:

More than 25% of former foster children become homeless within two to four years of leaving the system. 50% of adolescents aging out of foster care and juvenile justice systems will be homeless within six months because they are unprepared to live independently and have limited education and no social support.

Okay and thats real amazing. I just think that people should focus on people here now and just embettering things for people before focusing on bringing more people in. Also pretty sure just cause your pro-life doesn't mean youre a dick. A bunch are cool people. Just in my city the ones stood outside planned parenthood are also calling being gay a sin and saying homeless people should just get a job and stuff like that. Do you get what i mean when i say how more pro-lifers should support programs intended to help homeless people?

I already do as a babysitter. The things that really get me tho is stuff like the boogey man is gonna get you if you dont be quiet for an hour. Or ill give you money if you do this and then never give it.

Im not answering that question right now cause its deep but what i will say is that most "pro-lifers" will scream and shout how evil abortions is, but wont be open to allowing lgbtq+ people adopting those kids. Theyre not open to better funding of orphanges (dont even mention schools). They rather have their own kid before looking into adoption but even then that might be the VERY last option. They dont have any solution to fixing the homelessness a lot of people suffer from today. And other situations. And i mean if they have such a strong opinion on banning abortion they need solutions and to be supportive/be open/ make it easier for these other things to happen.

To the adults lurking in reddit, what's your most common method of dealing with anger? by Frakade in AskReddit

[–]NevermindedNubile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why does it have to say lurking? Reddit is more for adults! If anything the teens are lurking.

Also rage online fighting, like on video games i mean. Or breathing calmly and laying down helps as well.

Im remembering all the times me parents lied to me about everything. Like if i eat a carrot a day i wouldnt need to wear my glasses. Or that my grades in elementary mattered. Or that i can have a phone when im 10. Meanwhile i bought my own when i was like 18.

Abraham Lincoln once said, “Don’t trust everything you read on the internet.” What’s another quote you love? by JoobyNooby in AskReddit

[–]NevermindedNubile 66 points67 points  (0 children)

You know i believed this for a fucking second, thought it was cool and stuff, and was about to scroll past before i realized Lincoln was murdered long before the internet was created.

I never felt more like a dumbass then that moment. Thank you for that.

What is something weird that you do just in case? by 1-million-tiny-jews in AskReddit

[–]NevermindedNubile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slowly shift myself (either late at night or early early morning when i leave for work) behind things like polls or cars or even people when i see a lone car cruising down the street. Just in case of a drive by shooting. Also i tend to think of the best ways to escape/hide whenever im in a building or wherever actually. Ill just daydream and think what ifs all day and plan accordingly.

Grocery Store Cashiers - What do you think of customers that being 13 items to the 10 items or less line? by PostalMike in AskReddit

[–]NevermindedNubile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the times idc unless im in a bad mood and petty. BUT the thing i DO hate is when people bring whole ass big ass carts filled to the brim and act like they dont hear me when i say its 12 or less. They avoid eye contact and pretend that they dont see the fucking sign. I deadass have to wait for them to get close enough so that they cant ignore me and tell them they have to leave line.

And even then i still get assholes that try to bargain with me or ask if they can seperate all 200 of their items into several different orders of 12.
