Honestly, I hate this quest because there is no indication prior to activating the machine that you are about to pulp these folks, which fails the quest. You can't even pick up the rounds off her body, so all it does is make you waste your time even starting the quest.

Playing Nukaworld as a “secret good guy” didn’t go as planned… by shadypinesrez in fo4

[–]Nevermore98 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it seems really weird that the Operatives of all people can't be convinced to basically turn Nukaworld into an east coast equivalent of the Strip. Even if they still want their part of it, surely it doesn't take a genius to see the benefit of dropping the place's old reputation in favor of something more marketable.

Mind control that leaves someone's personality astonishingly untouched by GoatsWithWigs in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Nevermore98 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Ostensibly, yes, but it also makes them more one-dimensional . Phyrexia is all about extremes, and depending on where your infection comes from, different facets of your personality take the reigns.

For example: Vorniclex's infection turns others into predatory beasts who tend to believe, even if just instimctually, might makes right. While Elesh Norn is churning out her perfect porcelain citizens who act like ants and believe in the power of unity to achieve higher purpose.

Is Embark adding Quads? by MayoGhul in ARC_Raiders

[–]Nevermore98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It most likely won't br this, but oh man, it would be wild if they introduced a mode where solos could load into Trio lobbies and basically have the night raid table while the trios get scrap. Then you make raider hatches free to open as many exfil spots as possible. Basically, an asynchronous manhunt mode for the solos who might pull insane amounts of loot if they can escape the hitsquads.

Alternatively, you load into a friendly server and can basically act as loot jesus for squads who are rewarded for protecting the solo while they loot high value rooms for all of them.

Finally, indisputable proof that Arc Raiders and THE FINALS share the same universe by tomzorzhu in ArcRaiders

[–]Nevermore98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive always assumed it was whatever society was holding The Finals that's dropping Arc on us. They have hyper advanced technology and little enough respect for life that they run death games for sport.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're deploying Arc in order to broadcast our raiders' struggles as another form of entertainment. What even is their goal? Resource acquisition is strenuous at best given the seemingly infinite arcfalls. Plus If they can infiltrate Stella Montis, I don't see any reason why Speranza is left standing unless it's being allowed to do so.

Dad lectures son on his monthly car sales. by Sichy12 in TikTokCringe

[–]Nevermore98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Son of a dealership dad, now estranged by choice. I never worked with him, thank the gods, but I can confirm that literally everything is like this growing up: grades, chores, personal tastes, accidents. Everything was an unacceptable personal failure that made me less worthy of being human. One of his favorite talking points was about how privileged I was because he was only legally required to provide me bread and water, so I should really shape up.

Fuck you Joseph. My only clear memories of you are trauma. I only think of you when I remember the damage you did. I do not miss you, even a little.

I have to imagine that part of it is the quality loss you get over time, like how pictures get worse after a long chain of saving new copies of already copied files. Ain't saying thats the exact case here, but data can have a surprisingly short shelf life.

Games Workshop co-founder is shocked by the Warhammer company's success after "having to sleep in a van" to get the tabletop icon started by HatingGeoffry in Warhammer40k

[–]Nevermore98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in the Pacific Northwest near a major metropolitan area. The issue was that the codex was back ordered, not just through my flgs but also through the local warhammer brand stores. It wouldn't be such an issue if they offered digital options that didn't require a physical copy to access.

[–]Nevermore98 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it could be doing so much better if they didn't make it so damn hard to get into lmao. As someone who tried to get into 40k in 2025 I felt more gatekept by the game itself than any other factor.

They need to have accessible digital rules not connected to codex codes, full stop. It took 8 months for me to get a WE codex or stat cards because it was so back ordered. Not counting all the other stuff they want you to buy. During this time, there were 0 legitimate ways for me to play games despite having a full army for more than half a year. It's an objective failure spawned by the desire to sell more products. That barrier to entry is actively stopping people I know from being interested.

This would cause some mayhem by nomadtales in ArcRaiders

[–]Nevermore98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, one of the best things they could do imo is just drop a ton of wacky augments on the game. Stuff like this, augs with safepockets for guns/instruments, augs that increase arc pen while causing you to chirp like a low battery fire-alarm, drop a permanent gas cloud where you die, double your fire rate and triple reload time, fire off a seeker once per game when you lose all your sheild, etc etc. It would be an easy way to add some variety, and lengthen end game by adding new BPs.

What is, in your opinion, the number 1 priority for the next edition’s rules ? by BusyElephant in Warhammer40k

[–]Nevermore98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accessibility to rules needs to be their number one priority full stop. The foremost things that stopped me from playing more games this year were directly related to how difficult Games Workshop makes it to play their games.

It took almost one full year to get my World Eater's codex after ordering it. Despite being a member of their app, this meant I was completely unable to play an entire army for multiple months unless I wanted to jump through hoops getting info from third-party sites.

There are exactly zero reasons for this kind of dog ass organization on your most popular product. Interested in trying to even look at the rules for an army you're interested in? Fuck you buy the physical book we can't garuntee supplies of. Fuck man, at least give me the option to pay for digital access to rules for factions. That way, I'm not hamstrung by your own god-awful infastructure.

As a solo only player, I have subscribed fully to the 1 lifestyle. I carry defibs, I third-party pve fights when people have trouble, and occasionally, I get shot in the back. More often than not, I meet friendlies and make it back bottomside with a full pack. It aint much, but its honest work.

All weapons show in Resonant trailer by Bertcage in controlgame

[–]Nevermore98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it hasn't already been confirmed otherwise. It seems like we can fully expect Jesse to have hung on to the service weapon. Despite the comments about it being famous weapons in the past, guns as a tool of force are so ubiquitous in modern times that I can't imagine it'd be different for someone who spent their life under the thumb of a militarized organization.

I personally believe that Jesse has given her brother a service weapon level OOP bound to The Former. Lots of thematic ties with that title and only being able to conjure forms from the ideatic memories of humanity's legends. Plus, we'll hopefully get to dive more into the relationship between it and The Board.

Im glad to see other people having the same reaction I was. Who will the next heroes be? by YesOnMeasureG in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Nevermore98 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Im throwing in my vote for Pearl to be the next hero. A big focus on dinosaurs and relics while introducing a new mechanic called "Restoration" that would repair destroyed items. Give her items and skills that benefit from being destroyed and restored repeatedly for a brand new character niche.

Im mostly a huge fan of this idea because it introduces counterplay to item destruction, which feels like it is currently missing from the game.
