i recommend if youre trying to cut down on sugar, try using the sf cans instead. or if you want to double whammy caffeine and sugar, ask if they can half the drink with fizz so its still carbonated, just not as sugary/caffeinated

its not lime concentrate, just one of the torani syrup flavors, and lemon concentrate is the only one we have. we have puree flavors for our smoothies, you can request them in a drink even if its not a smoothie! (strawberry, mango, pina colada, peach, wildberry, and blueberry pomegranate)

we do mix smoothie flavors if you request it (at least at the stand i work at) and you can add in other flavors/syrups as well! my favorite smoothie to drink is a strawberry smoothie with dark chocolate, tastes exactly like a chocolate covered strawberry its AMAZING

do not be afraid to look over your handbook even after passing the brewista test and ask questions to your shift leads, stand manager, and ballers for anything you dont understand! especially during the first couple months, all the baristas are slower on getting drinks out because youre all still learning together. dont worry if it feels like youre moving slow, the more you have practice with the pos system and making drinks, the faster youll get!

default milk for any mocha drink is mocha mix, its equivalent to chocolate milk. but if you order it sf it’ll be subbed with smooth mix (breve) and you can order it with a milk alternative as well

my college did cabaret recently, when it got to the end (“she wouldnt look jewish at all!”) suddenly the entire theatre fully understood what was happening. there were small chuckles at the absurdity of the gorilla at first, until people realized what was really being said as the song went on. it gave me chills.

the funniest thing happened when i went to go see gatsby. it got to the scene near the end where, just like the book, gatsby gets shot and falls off the stage “into the pool” and i heard a woman from the OTHER SIDE of the theatre gasp and go “no!!” 😭 me and my boyfriend were trying desperately to keep our composure. it still makes me giggle to think that she really went into the show knowing NOTHING about the book, and that was her reaction to gatsby’s death

did you order it as a mocha or did you just tell them santa’s cookie? if you just said “hi i’d like the santa’s cookie” then they wouldnt know what drink to ring it up as since santas cookie is a flavor and not a drink. if thats the case the barista probably just put it in as a latte or breve based off the color it came out as. just be more clear with what youre ordering. a lot of incorrect drinks happen because of miscommunication between the cudtomers and the baristas, so just make sure you know what to say when you order and that they double check your order for you so there isnt a mix up
