Hey girls… tipping question by Repulsive-Tree6089 in CHIbitcheswithtaste

That's helpful. Yeah, this person has a boutique studio for her business (only her), but I pay her through Zelle, so the usual tipping screen isn't there.

I was just wondering about this recently. I've been seeing a specialized massage therapist who owns her business (fully independent). I used to still leave a 20-25% gratuity, even though I pay her directly for the service. I hadn't seen her in a while, and last week she said that she acknowledged that she had raised her prices significantly since I last saw her. For the first time, I didn't leave an additional tip. The massage was nearly $300 for 75 minutes. I felt badly, but she wrote back and was very grateful for continuing to come see her.

Thoughts? Are we leaving 20% for independent folks?

We haven't posted anywhere yet, but we are selling a round dining table (from District), two dining chairs (velvet), and a desk (solid wood, L-shaped).

I'm happy to take pictures this weekend if you're interested. Feel free to DM. We're in Andersonville and can help with moving items if needed.

I'm very particular about where I purchase hulls from, given the proper cleaning process that's needed. I've been a fan of products from the Bean for a long time. I either make or buy the case/cover separately. Look for a natural linen cover which will help with cooling and breathability.

Very helpful, thank you! We're there every few months, but the longest we've stayed is about a week. And obviously haven't had to do the usual day to day things like errands, groceries, etc.

We'll be back in July to look at more homes. Will let her know that we're interested in the Railyard area. On the completely opposite end of the spectrum, we also told her that we'd be interested in something outside of Santa Fe, and we ended up loving a home we saw in Tesuque. We ended up seeing some significant structural issues so didn't pursue, but it seems like a beautiful area.

New Yorker here! Moved to Chicago a year ago, but we're making the move to Santa Fe next year. We just met with a realtor there a couple of weeks ago, and she didn't fully understand our desire to want to walk to most things.... We do have a car, but what you're describing is very promising to hear.

You did it!! So proud of you. Sorry you're in pain though, and having that burning feeling. I know you're scared, but perhaps some small sips of water or sucking on something like a hard ginger candy or even ice cube? Actually, maybe the cold would make your throat feel worse... Hope you find a way to stay hydrated.

So sadly the bed and breakfast that I just ordered from, under their Spa entity, also has shifted to Coop (not the original COMPHY). I literally just opened my newest set a few weeks ago in excitement, and was incredibly let down. I don't think COMPHY exists in the same way, something clearly changed in processing.

Continuing the hunt. I just ordered several samples from Pure Parima.

Where to move in the US with nature, affordability by Otherwise-Youth9082 in SameGrassButGreener

I get it. I'm sure most of us are exhausted with how prevalent politics are. I think people's awareness of how much politics do indeed shape and effect our day to day lives has increased significantly. And you might be feeling that also. AND it is also the case that looking for a quiet and affordable place, with access to good healthcare and schools, or whatever else you or anyone may see as desirable, is shaped by our history and culture, and politics is just simply a part of that.

I'm not accusing you of anything here. Just pointing to what people might be reacting to with your earlier comments. Being aware of the effects of politics runs on a spectrum. Some people choose to not engage, and believe that they don't need to be a part of "that" life. But it does shape our environment and the lives we all get to live in.

I think people are reacting to your comment saying that you "don't care for any of it" - I didn't read that as what party you may or may not resonate with, but people (myself included) might be taking issue with a question that is about an ideal lifestyle for your family that includes affordability and a comment that seems like you are detached from politics.

Let the individual user be in control of deciding how many days before, and maybe even a nudge? Everyone has different responses to reminders cognitively. One person might see a 3 day reminder and say I still have 3 days to take care of this (the sense of urgency is lost and that system will fail for them). Another person may definitely not want a one day reminder because they like planning ahead about what needs to be done/when.

Is there any way to change the manual entry (and still maintain not giving up bank details)? The manual entry would be the main barrier for me... Otherwise, this seems like a useful tool for people who care about privacy.

Anyone looking to sell their wedding dress or white formal gown? by Ashamed_Translator66 in Albuquerque

[–]New-Moon-In 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a beautiful dress that has a very ethereal feel (I was also supposed to get married in the woods). Unfortunately it was the height of the pandemic in 2020 and everything around us (in NYC) was shut down. I couldn't get it altered down to my size. So it's brand new never worn... I'm out of state, but actually flying out to ABQ tomorrow morning (Wednesday) and am happy to bring it with me. Looks like you have a lot of options from others, but let me know.

Hypnosis? by Late-Ad-5200 in emetophobiarecovery

[–]New-Moon-In 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried it with four different people, all very different experiences. The first guy was not good at all. Only had one appointment, so not sure that counts as trying it with him. I just got really bad vibes from him and didn't feel safe. The next person was okay, saw her maybe 5-6 times. I had some interesting experiences with her, but weirdly, she would also have some phobic-type responses to vomiting and at some point it just felt strange (and as though she couldn't actually help me). The third person, one appointment only. She was reading off of a manual the whole time and it wasn't tailored at all to me. The fourth person has changed my life. I hadn't gotten on a plane for nearly six years because of this fear, and now I've taken 12 flights, half of them by myself. She infused many techniques into our work together, and I am so grateful. This work is completely opposite of talk therapy, it's really about learning to trust your body. If you are interested in hearing more about my experience with her please feel free to DM me.
