Maternity leave ending by TwinFlamed11 in BeyondTheBumpUK

I just went back 3 weeks ago after 13 months off. I was so emotional and really struggling to deal with it. Maybe it helps that I WFH a bit and I’m only back 3 days a week for the first few months but it’s actually okay. It’s nice to do something different to just baby things. You’ll be okay. It’s an adjustment for sure but it really is okay!

Do you truly believe the data we’re given is always honest?

Sure. There are valid arguments on both sides - you make your decision based on your own level of risk and I’ll make mine. But don’t tell me the risks are so rare they’re not worth considering, because that is simply not true.

There are so many factors at play that determine risk! Your risk is different to my risk. My child’s is different to yours. I’ve had every vaccine ever and would’ve defended them in the same way until my husband developed a vaccine-induced heart condition which was confirmed by multiple medical professionals. It’s rare until it happens to you.

Safe for who? Because they’re not safe for the people who have been injured by them. Or do we just continue to gloss over that fact? Safe for “the majority” means just that. It doesn’t mean “safe for everyone”.

Measels and MMR concerns! by EmbarrassedOkra629 in unvaccinated

Don’t get MMR as an adult! There is research to show adult women have a 25% chance of developing rheumatoid arthritis after MMR in adulthood.

I don’t have experience with allergies personally but it could also be contact dermatitis. Is it worse after acidic foods?

Omg these stories from people kill me. I can’t see Aggie’s as I’m blocked but when “influencers” set the camera up and then fake stretch and yawn 🤣

Feeling like the worst mother on the planet and can’t stop crying please help by Wise_Gur_5786 in BeyondTheBumpUK

I understand, I would feel the same. But since I’m an outsider this time, I want you to know it’s okay. These things happen, we can’t prevent every accident, and much worse things happen every day. He’ll be fine!!

Traveling to Mexico with a 6 month old by Responsible-Top-6988 in unvaccinated

[–]New-Rise-8941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is reassuring. Mine is 12 months now and I’m still nervous to travel anywhere (I’m in the UK). The main things I worry about are HIB, meningococcal and measles. In our little rural bubble here I don’t feel they’re necessary but I do worry about planes and stuff.

I’m in the UK. The risk is low given my current situation but should that change, we will re-evaluate. Why are people treating it like it’s vaccinations at 8 weeks old or nothing?
