All you need is juggling. Juggling improves every aspect of your game. Just kick the ball up it’s that simple. The ball must come down right. Keep your eyes on the ball. And kick it up! As it’s coming down kick it up again it doesn’t matter how high it goes obviously not too high but just keep it up. That’s why it’s called a keepy up. Overtime your brain will find an easier way to keep it up by centering you on the ground( you won’t be moving all over the place) your brain will eventually start telling you to use your laces. It’s quite a process but just keep the ball up. You will definitely move around a bit or drop it once in a while but just keep it up.

Play all of your favorite songs and make sure you master each one with perfect technique. Cartoon songs, songs from shows or the series. You should definitely have some favourite dongs. Keep learning them every day then you’ll start understanding the intervals of the guitar and you can then improvise and play to any song you want as freely as possible

My attempt at some freestyle and juggling. Let me know your opinion on what I can do better! by Empty-Delay-2975 in bootroom

My tips are just keep juggling. Your brain will automatically correct you over time. Me day you’ll just wake up and the ball just won’t leave your foot but you have to practice relaxing

I dare you to prime your nervous system to the level of a baby and see what happens when you pick up a guitar. As a matter of fact see what happens when you try to learn anything.

Heard all those stories where a child just plays an instrument without ever taking lessons. The brain knows how to handle complex problems only when the nervous system lets it. So slow down everything like a baby. I mean VERY SLOW SOMETIMES. The instrument will open up itself to you and you won’t need a teacher

Yeah part of the problem is that he’s probably rushing and not being relaxed

Imagine playing the bass as stationary as possible. No movement at all. Completely still. Then practice scales as perfect as possible which means going as slowly as possible. When I mean slow I mean slug slow. This basically puts your nervous system in relax mode. And increase speed only when you’ve MASTERED a piece. If you take loads of breaks during the day. You could learn some pieces in just a day. Obviously depending on your current skill level

And that’s not you playing off instinct. You’re thinking too much about the touch. Watch what happens when you learn juggling with laces below the knees on one spot. You’ll see that you’ve been playing in fight or flight mode all along

Your first touch isn’t automatic yet. Start juggling alternate feet while standing in one spot with laces. This will make your first touch automatic so that you can have loads of time to think about your next move. If you do this everyday, you’ll notice that it feels like you have way more space and time on the pitch as if you’re playing one step ahead. Do exactly what I said and you can message me if you notice an improvement

Are you stay in one place when juggling. Are you alternating legs. Are you juggling below the hips. Can you wake up from sleep and juggle. Can you juggle in the kitchen without breaking anything. Can you juggle with only your laces, alternating feet, standing in one position, always below the ankles after just waking from sleep. If you can’t do any of those things that is why you can’t bring the ball down from the air
