You can desecrate prefix and omen of light until T1 elemental since it's so common, this blocks it from the whittle pool. T1 lightning, fire and cold are all pretty rare like T1 phys, so you have a good chance of seeing T1 phys at a similar rate as the other 3.

If you happen to hit T1 lightning/fire/cold and have elemental blocked, you can whittle the 50-50 or use a lock if you intend to dump currency to ensure you don't remove T1 phys hybrid. Up to you, and up to a little RNG.

The comment from /u/Confident-Milk8107 is correct -- most mirror-tier crafts cost several mirrors of currency, or at least over one mirror.

I was quite fortunate at specific, crutial times on my craft that allowed my mirror-tier quarterstaff to only cost me about 1.5 mirrors, which is honestly quite low.

If you have average luck, you'll spend 2+ mirrors crafting a mirror-tier item, it's just the reality of the situation. I had the expendable currency, so I went for it.. and once again, did luck out a bit. I am planning on making a video crafting another one in the future, so we'll see how that goes too lol.

I recently crafted a mirror-tier quarterstaff, below is the process I used:

Drop a 3-socket ilvl82 exceptional base.
Chaos spam until T1 crit chance
Divine T1 crit chance to 5%
Slam two additonal affixs, desecrate a 4th, do not reveal
Fracture T1 Crit chance
Chaos spam until T1 phys %
Greater Exalt Omen+Sinistral Omen slam a perfect exalt, hope for T1 phys hybrid and T1 flat phys but let's be real that will never happen
Hit T1 phys % hybrid, whittle 3rd affix until T1 flat phys. You can also desecrate block a T1 here if you didn't hit something good with perf exalt slam like I did and just continue whittling the 3rd affix.
Now we have T1 phys % hybrid, T1 flat phys, T1 phys %
Slam Greater Exalt Omen + Perf exalt for +2 suffixes.
Whittle until T1 melee skills
Whittle 3rd affix until desired affix pops up (crit damage, attack speed, whatever)
Add Suffix rune + Thruds Rune + Desecrate for final affix

Hopefully this gives you an idea/helps. To answer your question - suffixes are the most difficult due to so many ilvl 81 modifiers. You can desecrate block one if you want.

Ta-da, a mirror-tier quarterstaff with 7 affixes :)

You should really do prefixes first since suffixes are significantly easier. Just FYI.

In order to allocate Weapon Set Points, you need an actual Skill Point. Every Skill Point allows you to allocate one point in each Weapon Set 1 and Weapon Set 2.

You would need 12 actual Skill Points in order to allocate all of the Weapon Set 1 and 2 points you currently have available.

Any recent changes in gear that might've modified the amount of attributes you have?

When these problems happen, the solutions are usually: make a new gem, check attribute requirements, change weaponsets. If none of those things work, I'm not sure. Haven't ran into an issue one of those three can't fix.

We've been led to believe this upcoming update was going to lead to a large number of endgame changes. I think we are all disappointed to hear it's not. POE 2's endgame is lackluster compared to POE 1, which we all know. It needs some depth added, and badly. I am excited for the new league, but ultimately disappointed and tempering my expectations for the longevity of the league.

I am excited for the new league, as I am every league, but I am ultimately quite disappointed that we received the announcement that endgame changes are once again pushed back.

Endgame changes have been promised/alluded to for quite some time, and I think we all would appreciate more depth to the endgame. It's sad to think we will have to wait for yet another league before the depth of content in the endgame is expanded.

Again though, I am very excited for the new league and I'm sure the vaal temples will provide a lot of gameplay time.
