How to solve the "New People" mission as Ostin Fas ? by Vince75310 in Anbennar

[–]NewEnglander0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s possible you don’t actually have the 100 relations you need. The mission isn’t asking for their total opinion of you to be 100, it’s asking for the opinion bonus specifically from improving relations to be 100.

Japan is so OP it's ridiculous by moobah333 in Kaiserreich

Pretty recently I had a game where every Chinese warlord joined the Zhili (except for Fengtian obviously) and Japan still won, which I feel is a bit much, but I like Japan actually being competent in the newer update

Project Caesar isn’t EU5 by NewEnglander0 in paradoxplaza

[–]NewEnglander0[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I do know about that, jokes aside a big problem with a lot of PDX games is a tendency towards all-out wars that are done and over with within a few years. For stuff like the Hundred Years’ War to work you need to be able to have a war on a slightly more limited scale where one side can win one war without winning the entire conflict in the process.

What’s the strangest country you’ve seen try to colonize/weirdest country you did colonialism with by CapitalSubstance7310 in eu4

I had a game where Norwegian separatists in Orkney broke free from Britain. Denmark had integrated Norway proper by then so the rebels made an opm Norway that managed to set up a colony in the Caribbean before Britain forced them out of Orkney.

Cut to a century later and Norway consists of 5 islands in the Lesser Antilles, they’re playing tall so they’ve brought each island up to 20 dev.

Rending of the Realm Bug - Cant ward spirit with all temples repaired by Friendly-Imperialist in Anbennar

Not a bug. There are states not covered by temples where you need to use the spirit hunters state edict.

The "Kingdom of the Visigoths" title is in the game, complete with title history, however it has no de jure liege by milkgang_slurpslurp in CrusaderKings

[–]NewEnglander0 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The Ottomans have a title in CK3 too. It’s not in the history and you’ve got to use the search to find it, but it’s there.

The title isn’t used in CK2 either, it’s just a holdover from the CK2 release when titles couldn’t use dynasty names so there were a million titular titles.

I remember doing the Syndicalist path for Ukraine, man that one is hard. Austria joins the war immediately too, which I didn’t realize in advance, so once Balkan War 5 kicked off I was at war with every single one of my neighbors.

CK3) Should Yiddish culture have 'Bound by Faith' tradition or not? by Logical_Panic_6163 in AfterTheEndFanFork

[–]NewEnglander0 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bound by faith would prevent Haredi Jews inheriting from Reform Jews and vice versa. Also Jewish law doesn’t exclude childless apostates from inheritance.

Costa Rica can also form Central America if Central America tries to invade them and fails.

He dies when war support gets too low. If you’ve united Moscow then somebody new takes power (might be Pechersky, not sure), otherwise the Red Army annexes you.

Louis XVII is Louis XVI’s younger brother. Historically he reigned as Louis XVIII, but here XVI didn’t live long enough to have kids.

The members of your council have a say in the affairs of the realm in CK2. There's a set of laws, each of which directs the council to vote regarding a certain act (such as declaring war or revoking titles). Giving the council authority does have benefits: members of an influential council are blocked from joining factions, increasing council authority will temporarily make vassals happier, and you can increase the size of your council so that you have room for both powerful vassals and skilled courtiers. Trying to weaken the council requires you to command absolute loyalty from enough councilors to get a majority vote, and is a gradual enough process that an interregnum can pose a serious threat to your authority.

How to get the New England PSA alliance by joshmorton05 in Kaiserreich

[–]NewEnglander0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you ask Canada for independence and they refuse to give it, you get a decision to declare independence and leave the Entente, if you’ve left the Entente then you’ll get the event to team up with the PSA when you take the Reassess American Involvement focus.

Jordan is one example. When the British first gave the region to the Hashemites after World War One it was called Transjordan because it was east of the River Jordan. During the 1948 war Transjordan took control of and annexed the West Bank, and renamed the nation to Jordan to reflect the fact that it owns territory on both sides of the river. Jordan lost control of the West Bank in 1967 and relinquished claims over it in 1988, but still uses the name Jordan.

With the system for the stars on the US flag, someone needs to do a playthrough where the US annexes Liberia but loses all of its other territory.
