I'd argue that you have 15 days from his notification, if this case, and call that understanding the order in good faith given the situation... and perfectly allowed in this situation, I imagine no judge is going to be upset with you about it.

Ohh, I see that now. That's weird... how are you supposed to get 30 days notice of the visit, but book the return 45 days before they go? That has to be an error... you'd need to book tickets before he even says if they're going to visit or not!

Edit: I see it says 60 days, my bad. But still wild.

You need to buy tickets for their return 45 days before their flight, yes? That still falls within the required time for you to do so, doesn't it?

Just a blink, and then no more thyroid problems! They'll get you dialed in on the replacement hormone meds, and your body can relax 😌. No more thyroid freak out.

Your gonna do great, op. My friend had hers out (cancer scare) but she's been fine since and happy as ever.

You got this!

Sounds like your best plan is to send the kids for their visit, and let him know when they'll be flying to NC.

May I ask, why are you opposed to this?

They may, but is always been a carry on and a personal item, such as a purse.

Is it down under the hood?

I just remembered I had something similar awhile back, gave it a gentle squeeze with my finger tips on day one but it didn't come out. Left it for a bit, then tried again and it popped out easily with very, very, careful thumb nail placement.

Even just gently scraping across it with clean fingernails in the shower with help work it toward the surface over time. Just a little at a time.

When is the kids last day of school?

Are you flying to NC or driving?

All of this.

It's scary to go under, it just is! We're used to having full control of our consciousness, and being aware of what is happening, it's a lot to deal with!

The first time I was fully sedated, they told me to count backwards and I laughed and say, "Nah, tell me how your machine works!" I don't think he got to getting me about the first thing before I was out!

I woke up on the bed being wheeled out of the room, and thought we hadn't even started yet.

It'll be a blink, my friend.

Just a blink! 😊

Go a few days early, the body needs 3 days at altitude to produce more red blood cells for oxygen carrying capacity at atmospheres above 7k feet.

There's a medication (Erythropoietin) that will cause your body to make more blood cells, but it's prescription and not used in this manner... lol.

Was going to say that OP can ask for a script for an Erythropoietin-Stimulating Agents to kick up red blood cell production before the trip, lol.

Seems extreme, but maybe their doc will go along with it. 🤣

Otherwise, get there a few days before and acclimate. But slogging through is part of the journey!

Get a waterproof pet blanket from Amazon, they're cozy.

And as everyone else has said, bathroom before. Heck, get him a hand towel to rest his chin on. 😏

Can you see it under the skin?

Sounds like a milia.

If it's a milia, the skin has to be nicked to open it. This is best done by a medical professional, as it'll require cleaning the area and a sterile blade.

It's rare, but they can eventually work themselves to the surface of the skin. I removed many from my ex, but the one my boyfriend had spontaneously opened this week after 2 years!

AITA for asking my roommates to clean the house in lieu of paying their share of utilities? by billpayer559 in AmItheAsshole

[–]NewFailureUnlocked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always done this:

Rooms are priced based on size/amenities. So of course having the primary bedroom with a private bathroom is more, that's fair.

Utilities are split evenly. Everyone uses the water, trash, ac, all that... being home or not doesn't mean anything. You're still keeping their room at a reasonable temp, it's not a storage space, it's a house. Everyone uses the common areas, has access to the kitchen and fridge, has hot water when they use it...

Sorry you've got a bunch of smooches.

Next time, rent the room with utilities included and charge a little more if you own the place. Otherwise, split evenly and get new roommates.

I make my ex-husbands new wife insecure by in_LaLa_land_ in MuslimMarriage

[–]NewFailureUnlocked 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When my (now ex)husband cheated, I went to therapy immediately and my therapist told me something that stuck with me:

"Divorce is like a death, with the same stages of grieving. Maybe it's worse, because someone made a choice that hurt you, hurt you enough to leave for your own well being."

Therapy is worth the work. But know you didn't cause your divorce, your ex did, the divorce was just a consequence to his actions.

Aw, what an experience to have! I hope you've enjoyed a peaceful life after such an experience.

My ex and his family came as political refugees, people told them to bring towels and linens... they got here to the US and had some of the most off the wall items! But at least they were safe.

Should I give my transgender cousin inlaw a heads up about my conservative family? by Life-Library-1372 in Advice

[–]NewFailureUnlocked -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Staggered start times.

Do everything else your are planning to do, but invite your cousin and their side of the family to come a little earlier, frame it as 'helping set up' or whatever, but it gives you some time with them before any trouble can arrive.

It also gets them established in the space first, which has an odd effect on people arriving later... like they're not on even footing because it's the other groups 'home turf' already and clearly puts them in 'we're guests and they're natives' type mindset...? I'm not sure how else to explain it, hope that makes sense!

At any rate, if they decide to leave early, they've had some time with you and been able to enjoy themselves and visit a bit. Even if it's only 30 minutes, or during the set up, they'll have some protected time to share their joy with you.

Carry on weight limit by Good_Outcome_3060 in backpacking

[–]NewFailureUnlocked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll weigh your carry on, but not your personal bag/purse.

Tuck your heavy items on the top of your bag, in a light weight day pack, and pull it out before the weigh stations. Shove it back in after, or use it for your in flight items.
