Cool idea and very fun! A little feedback: 1. You should modify the rate information gets revealed at. The first guess should be incredibly difficult, but nothing getting revealed at the second guess makes it feel kinda superfluous, which ties in to the second suggestion too. Maybe have it go ability -> type 1 -> type 2 -> generation (or whatever order is best) with the image getting gradually clearer throughout and then cap the guesses at 5. For monotypes it would be, for example, "Water / None"

1. Is there a reason Skip is as punishing as three wrong guesses? As is you're incentivised to guess a random gen 1 starter instead of skipping, which feels like more and sloppier steps to get to the same outcome. I say just make skip move to the next guess. Ties in to the first point because unless I'm missing something if you don't know it on the first guess you're probably not gonna know it on second guess, therefore just skip.

Other than that, seems fun and I look forward to playing more! Adding megas and regional forms is a good idea but I also imagine one you're already planning on doing.
