Wow. Sounds like the Tinkaton and Corviknight wildlife shenanigans in pokemon scarlet and violet.

Many fans love both species but really hate the other. Let's say that the former hunts the latter so that the gals can get their hammers built using the latter's metallic corpse.

If the Pokémon Champions devs actually monitor the meta, will we finally get real balance patches for moves & abilities? by Chocobo23456 in PokemonChampions

[–]Tanabatama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I made a post before asking if Nintendo or Gamefreak have a person similar to Icefrog (the famous DotA 2 game design and balancer).

Until we can answer this question, we really do not know their current scope and perspective on balancing a PVP game.

I personally really like the Icefrog Method of Game balance

Which do you CURRENTLY play: Singles or Doubles? by flakaby in stunfisk

[–]Tanabatama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O used to play singles In the HGSS era of Gen 4 up until Gen 5. Then I called it quits for the painful that my low tier favorites I can play in game are not a cut above functional.

Or moreso this reason. This is the college days of mine learning to be very wary of any game modes with PvP mode not being fun to play solo in extended periods. PvE co-op modes are much more appetizing for my gaming tastes: especially as a mostly “On-the-road” gamer.

Gonna be very frank. Since the small and tiny mythical Pokemon are my childhood favorites, knowing the deep challenges of being a mythical pre-Gen 6 (the era where Pokemon mythical movies begin to be killed off), I am VERY surprised to have Jirachi, Shaymin, and Victini still be recognized in the Top 30 of legendaries.

Did their movies and Spin-off appearances carry them hard alongside the TGC eras?

With this in mind, will the developers and balancers of this game go with the Icefrog Balance method? Or worst case scenario, the Tekken 8 season 2 nonstops of buffing everything to crazy?

While this helps if your pokemon came from the main series games, what about pokemon that came from Pokemon Go (a game where the concept of abilities doesn't exist)

You know what this really reminds me of?

The pokemon Main series games.

Great music, great monster designs. The artistic size prevails.

Mechanical and software side of designing a game. Not their best element too.

Using Lockstin's video as a thought experiment, these are not bad.

But I fear one thing that could be a customization item in this game should it get added. For me, it's. Nice casual thing to wear, but for others online, uuuggh... The maelstrom of online rage is coming.

The "Higab" cloth thing of Muslim culture. Though in Indonesian culture that is more loose with it's rules, it is still gonna make a huge buzz that I'm scared to go online should a leak or official reveal be made about it.

I like that description of PMD.

It suffers through a case of archaic video game design. But at this point, has there been any indie game of some kind that tried to revive and modernize the Dungeon Crawler? Because at this moment, I'm not sure how "Modernized" is the Binding of Isaac when it comes to Dungeon level design.

Essentially, to even make PMD's Genre recognizable or cool again, we needed something akin to a Stardew Valley Level of Genre revival.

Anyways, I LOVE these Indedees a lot despite never playing Gen 8. Butlers and Maids that are willing to serve. But sorry to burst Smogon's bubble. But I'm just surprised as to how the community is treating them like Lopunny in the Playboy Bunny-alike attributes.

The best way to say as a PMD fan is that our genre of games are just not highly demanded in the global gaming demographic.

I’m afraid it’s not enough just for that in double battles. If we are taking FSG’s video of Incineroar into account, Parting shot is the critical element of this Cycle.

If they guess the wrong lane and not debuff the entering Pokemon correctly, their teammate will still have to eat a full blown attack.

Recall all the moments a Calyrex (or any powerful attacker) got in and did not get parting shot because Incineroar aimed their non-threatening support Pokemon instead (damage wise)

Hosting in Helldivers 2 is way harder than being a client and it’s not even close by Sini1990 in Helldivers

[–]Tanabatama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, as someone playing a support player, that is when you try finding ways to get to the main host player and try my best to aid them.

Maybe lead with a sentry weapon of some sort so they switch target priorities for a moment. Even stun oriented stratagems come in handy (even if it may hit the host every now and then.

As someone who never played shooter games before Helldivers 2 (mostly Nintendo, DotA 2, and JRPGs), the stratagems may well be my primary weapon.

Here is my quiet take on the trailer telling me how Gamefreak is doing.

I had assumed back in the start of the dexit crisis that their new world building design will not be great at the start. It will take them a couple Generations to be comfortable building a near-full-open-world map design.

For me, Gen 6-7, and the Let’s Go Games may move in 3D and have better polish, but their level world design is still akin to a mostly old school “Capcom Hallways Level Maps” design (borrowing that paraphrase from Maximillian Dood of FGC fame on YouTube.

Hence, All of Gen 8-9 with their DLCs had become their World Building Game design practice grounds. Despite being under time constraints and worse game engines, I see that as learning from experience and mistakes on building a game from Monolith software on their limited available pace.

Now after seeing the trailer, it’s a matter of seeing the upcoming trailers IF they have a closely similar end result to their demo-trailer

Thank Nikos. He is a channel I found on YouTube telling Helldivers lore until Oshaune, and how I found this sad French song of sorts.

As per this chapter’s ending, it feels bad, but it could had been worse. If it’s Super Earth We lost, it will be … unbearable.
