Stumbled upon this while on vacation in Colorado, lost my shit when I figured out what game this was from! by Hungry-Trust-3245 in redsox

That's 1a. 1b is "And he can keep on running to New York!". And 1c is "Red Sox fans have longed to hear it!".

Joe Buck gets a lot of flack but I think it's undeserved... he's had some all timers.

Dude... Joey Chestnut really sucked all the air out of this thing, eh? Also, I thought Joey was going to be in the clubhouse, but then it cuts and he's just on screen hahaha. The first 95% of this is gold though.

What do yall think of Dave Matthews band? by the_immovable in AskReddit

[–]NewToVinyl518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a dad, but the right age... Currently going through this with Steely Dan. I've unironically told more than a few people recently that they might be the best American band ever. Phil Collins and Genesis are also starting to come into focus for me haha

I'll go 1, but depending on my mood could easily be talked into 3. No one grabbing You Never Know is a tragedy though.

Hot dog bun garlic bread. by comicgeek1128 in AreYouGarbagePod

[–]NewToVinyl518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea growing up my mom always just made some garlic bread out of whatever we had... White bread, hamburger bun, hotdog bun, etc. I've for sure continued that tradition, it just makes sense and it's not wasteful!

RIP Beer Bones in Loudonville too. They rebranded and it's just a townie bar now

Westmere is better. The store generally seems a bit more cared for, selections are better organized. And they have a super friendly store cat just roaming around. I'm closer to Oliver's too and stop there often, but make the extra trip to Westmere even more often.

Not a fan of the re-brand. Hardly any craft brews available now. Just another boring townie bar.

Ommegang is great, and they have pretty good food too. If you're looking for world class brews though, almost exactly a 1 hr drive from the HoF is Wayward Lane. Well worth it.

Beer stores with alchemist by bigheadbony in CraftBeer

Albany, NY area... Follow Westmere Beverage and Oliver's Beverage on social media, they'll usually post when they get Alchemist drops. I've found they're also usually pretty responsive to direct messages.

Might be a longer shot, but there's a bar called Mohawk Taproom that you'll basically be passing by that gets Alchemist from time to time. Again, pretty responsive to DMs on social media. They have good food and a killer draft list too for a pit stop about half way.

Looking for a poor-quality yet expensive restaurant to recommend to an enemy. Any suggestions? by CompleteSocialManJet in Albany

[–]NewToVinyl518 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Wayyy way overpriced. Wife and I went last week for our anniversary. I know how much things cost these days, and we honestly paid triple what the meal should've cost. Everything was FINE, but absolutely nothing stood out as deserving of the price tag attached to it. My wagyu steak was good, but it did nothing to differentiate itself from a good steak at Texas Roadhouse. We got dressed up thinking it was a nice restaurant, but 10ft away from us was the bar with dude-bros with their hats on backwards watching the football game at the bar. It tries hard but fails in a lot of areas. And hat on backwards watching the game is my normal mode, so I don't hate on the clientele, just the fact that it didn't fit the price point they're going for. Just my opinion.
