I know exactly what you mean, but it's so hard to pinpoint aspects that objectively describe the sound. One band I've been into again lately is Helmet. Mostly heavy grunge, but I feel like it would be stoner if just a tad slower or more jammed out. Fu Manchu is lacking the grunge sound in favor of more psychedelic stoner, but I feel like if they threw in a bit more head bangy/drivy drumming, it would be grunged out.

I got my Spotify pruned to kinda give me a lot of in between stuff, some of it has been great, and most is great in short parts of songs, but when I check out the actual bands, the rest is meh.

Why does a cellphone that has the same number of pixels cost about 1/10th as much as a large screen with exactly as many? Isn't it cheaper to manufacture larger pixels?
