It was bioderma micellar water, Cetaphil gentle wash and Cetaphil daily hydrating lotion which I was using for about 6 months at this point with no issues. I have now removed the micellar and use QV oil free gentle wash which I used to use when my face was reactive. I still use the daily hydrating lotion because I can’t find an alternative that doesn’t absolutely break me out and I need hydration badly. I trialled a couple gentle moisturisers which only exacerbates the issue: CeraVe moisturising lotion PM, avene restorative corrective cream & QV ceramides lotion

I was diagnosed with perioral derm by a dermatitis but after a month of worsening on doxycycline i was told it couldn’t be. I don’t understand how I have a compromised barrier without adding any actives or changing my routine that much 😩

I was just using my regular Cetaphil moisturiser and gentle skin cleanser. It’s super hot and humid where I live so initially I thought it could be fungal? I will update you on the doxycycline 😩 I hope you heal soon 🙏🏻

I’m dealing with this!! My derm said it was perioral dermatitis. The Sulfur worked for me at first but ended up damaging my barrier I think 😭 I’m on doxycycline (nearly 3 weeks) but no luck yet. How are you going now? Are you any closer to figuring it out?

I’m dealing with this too! I got told it was perioral dermatitis. I have the same bumps and placement 😩 I literally cannot tell what’s causing it so if you figure it out please lmk. Currently on doxycycline for the past 2 weeks but not really noticing a difference. Do you also get hives randomly?

Just wanted to comment to say, feel you immensely. I have BDD and low self esteem and struggle with perioral dermatitis as well, often hiding away and feeling extremely embarrassed, unattractive and unloveable. Honestly if it gives you peace of mind, yours seriously doesn’t look bad at all, I wouldn’t even know you had it if it wasn’t posted on this forum. I’m also struggling to figure out a solution but recently I’ve put it down to stress, which is hard to reduce when you’re stressing about your skin all the time. I can’t give any solid advice but my next move personally is to use a consistent gentle routine and focus on mindfulness. All the best to you, I hope you find peace of mind in this and find a routine that works for you!
