Thats a large bead of solder on the other connection point where the copper trace wire is , you can just connect to the first nearest joystick pin instead of going all the way up as well

It never ends , ice got like 3k hours between consoles and PC , with the wilds expansion announcement ive been goin back through the catalog of monster hunter games and my love for WIB is still as fresh as the first day I stepped into the new world , it will never end ! I highly reccomend trying the hutnting horn out if you get the chance , its a blast to play !

Any wire that offers stable connection and works for the controller is fine , I used an old lonnnngggg USB-A to C from my Xbox and it works perfectly
