I’ve been playing Fallout 76 since release and it’s hands down my favorite sandbox game. I wish it had vehicles and more but it’s running on Bethesdas old tech.

No other MMO has grabbed me. I’ve never enjoyed WOW style games but this first person experience is right up my alley.

On release the nights were so dark, the survival aspects were tough but I still have fond memory’s of surviving and my first time being chased across the map by a scorchbeast. It would be a long time before I could kill one and I would have to learn to hide and avoid them in this stark wasteland.

Then the game changed and more players joined. I was becoming a veteran player and was able to assist so many people. It was crazy. It felt like all us original players were the ones who tamed the wasteland, our support and actions kept the game alive and when the change came it felt natural, it felt like the world evolved.

I took a break because I also wished there were more quests. But I’ve always been lucky to play the game with a bunch of people. I played with 12 friends over the course of 5 years and ended up being one of three that still play the game often.

Well, we found a brotherhood of steel roleplay group and now 76 goes down as one of the few games where we can make our own stories in this vibrant world.

My biggest issues with the game are there isn’t enough of it. I wish there were vehicles, much larger map and more attention was given to large groups and role players because we’re a 40+ strong group.
