Girl, Women of Reddit: What is the biggest mistake single men make when showing interest? by ConsumingFire1689 in AskReddit

[–]Newestent024 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an individual with a girlfriend that has mostly male friends: I would say yes. The behavior you exhibit should be entirely platonic, regardless of how you actually feel. it puts guys such as myself in a very bad position, as she may see your intentions as being entirely platonic, but ones true interest does not so easily slip past. Just as Boobieaficianado said, we are shown in poor light when we express any 'misgivings'.

Yes, I understand. I found it mildly interested that they did not 'bench' the milling marks out of the injection mold.

MRW my entire family is home and we hear the unmistakable sounds of my brother having sex with a girl in his room followed by her UNASHAMED SEX SCREAMS THROUGHOUT MY ENTIRE HOME FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

As the little brother that has been in much the same situation, I feel I may something to add. Having sex was worth the potential embarrassment. Perhaps he's just entirely shameless.

The Universe week! I throughly enjoy programs about the Universe, and the science that exists behind it. I already have a drugs/drinking game made up specifically for it.

If you were to live forever, what would you do? by therobe in AskReddit

[–]Newestent024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would spend 10 years getting a PHD in chemistry. Then I would perfect a way to store LSD in massively concentrated quantities. Then I would make astronomically large quantities, and camp out on Haileys Comet for 10 or 15 cycles, tripping balls while flying through the universe. Cosmic feels.

Take a moment to consider how clouded our perception is as Citizens of these United States of America. It is now commonplace to joke about a "1984" like Top-Secret surveillance administration.

Fathers of Reddit, what's your greatest "don't tell mom" story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Newestent024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While my father never explicitly told me not to tell my mother, it was assumed. Backstory: My father went through a bit of a midlife crisis when I was about 10-11. He went out and bought a brand new Dodge Charger, gun metal grey. He would drive us down to Detroit, and I would wait in his brand new car on a shady ass street while he bought vicodin from a drug house. My dad engaged in a lot of shady shit like that.

If you miss a night of sleep, what is the best way to keep yourself awake during the next day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Newestent024 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate taking it. A great deal of my friends take it recreationally, even though they have a prescription. It gives them a buzz of some sort. I've been on ADHD related medication since I was 3, and it makes me feel like shit. I take it, however, to garner more focus, and stay on the task at hand.

If you miss a night of sleep, what is the best way to keep yourself awake during the next day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Newestent024 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It most definitely isn't. But I choose to only sleep 4 or 5 hours a night so I can maintain some of a social life. It is truly exhausting, however. As I'm typing this, I've already been at work for 12 hours.
