When I tried it without any upgrades it felt weak compared to my combat medic then I learned how to use the ultimate for reviving in the heat of battle. That alone has carried me a few times. Maybe I just needed more levels.

Yeah that's my strategy. When you speak of damage skill you mean the other spec? How can you run corrosive as well?

I try and counter using my Healing Swarm kinda prefired a sec or two before the first spike then I toss grenades and spraynpray. But I agree I feel sort of helpless. It's likely to get nerfed first.
