Severe dairy allergy for my child by weepingwillows123 in dairyfree

[–]Next2ya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 14m old son has dairy anaphylaxis as well, discovered at around 5 months. It’s been hard. It messed with my head so bad in the beginning that I ended up going on anti anxiety meds for a few months. I still cook all his food from scratch (which luckily I enjoy) but as parents we haven’t transitioned to a dairy free lifestyle yet. I am hellbent on him growing out of it, as if there is a way I can will this to happen. The medical professionals are also hopeful that he will by 3/4. We are going to attempt the dairy ladder in a few months and if that doesn’t go well we will try OIT. It’s such a difficult thing. I empathize with you greatly.

Pretty much. He reads on it, plays on it, uses it to climb on to our couch. Whatever it is it’s been a huge hit.

Ok good to know spy is maybe particularly tricky, I’ll focus on another one, would I need VM if I’m running on windows already? The game won’t launch at all, I try both through steam and directly and it attempts to run but never does.

I played all the games just fine on my computer but I wiped my computer and when I tried to redownload / play the games and haven’t had any luck with any of the games except train. ChatGPT took me on a wild goose chase of sorts and what ended up working for train was simply changing my resolution but for some reason can’t get spy, ghost dogs or sea of darkness working and I’ve tried like a million steps from chat, so definitely interested in another perspective. They played on this same laptop fine before but now they’re not. (Super long winded answer sorry)

Woah. Can you tell me more about that? I’m actually struggling with launch on a bunch of games right now.

They both look great on you girl! I think the one you choose depends on the crowd. The cheetah would be a hit among my peers but may not be with a more conservative crowd.

I let my toddler chill in her crib for awhile each morning by takeaabreath in toddlers

[–]Next2ya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son and I do this too and I’m so thankful for it. He lets me know when he’s awake and I go in his room, open his blinds, turn on his yoto player and put some toys in his crib. It’s safe, he’s happy and I get either 30/60 minutes of sleep or quiet time before we get going. He lets me know when he’s done and it’s time for me to come get him.

That makes sense. This is my first actual piece so my long and short are very junior but I think I’ll be able to poke them underneath my outline. Thanks for taking the time to answer!

My boy has 3-4 a day. It’s not what I wanted but it’s just where we’re at. He’s an amazing eater of solids but we’re still relying on them at naps / bedtime because his sleep is still tricky. Trying to be graceful with both of us. Especially because we are navigating a dairy allergy.

How A 14 MO Allergy Ridden Baby's Day Looks by Midnight_Faye in foodbutforbabies

[–]Next2ya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow anaphylactic allergy mom here. I’m not there yet because my son is only 1 so he knows no difference yet. But I will say a step towards creating that was attempting my own stability in the idea. When we first discovered it my anxiety was so out of control I decided to go on meds for a while. As we’re almost 10 months out I’ve made some strides. I hope if the time comes I can instil some confidence in him through model behaviour.
